This is an easy deck to beat Drakkisath with, relying on the poor AI of the boss. When you have Kel'Thuzad and a Taunt minion out, Drakkisath will NOT attack the taunt minion for any reason. Drakkisath will still use Kidnappers and Flamestrikes on Taunt minions, so be sure to get more than 1 Taunt minion out quickly! Keeping Kel alive is the priority, as well as defeating Drakkisath before he uses Twisting Nether.
However, Drakkisath has a few ways to kill Kel'Thuzad, so the goal of this deck is to get Kel'Thuzad out and keep Kel stealthed to protect him. Use your other minions to hit face and win while Drakkisath does nothing.
Beware, this deck is very dependent on Drakkisath's first turn. Ideally you will play Kel on the first turn, but if Drakkisath immediately destroys him, it's game over. Simply restart and try again. Once you get Kel stealthed with Master of Disguise, Drakkisath cannot use his "destroy a minion - gain 10 armor" spell on Kel. You have to still be wary of double Flamestrike and Twisting Nether.
To limit the risk of Flamestrike, swapping in a couple Earthen Ring Farseers might be a good idea to heal Kel after a single Flamestrike. There is no way to avoid Twisting Nether with this deck. You just have to get lucky and hope Drakkisath doesn't draw it. One thing I've noticed and a couple other people have mentioned - if Drakkisath has a board full of his own minions, he won't use Twisting Nether (or use it much less often).
Be careful when using Conceal. Use if BEFORE attacking with your Taunt minions so they lose Stealth on Drakkisath's turn.
Also, you can replace many of the cards in this deck. Sylvanas gives an insane amount of value, but once you get a stealthed Kel + Taunt, you don't *need* anything else to win. So use your good legends if you have them, but Kel and the stealth cards are the only essentials in this deck. Alexstrasza is very useful if you have her.

Changelog:
Swapped Loatheb for a Core Hound after being notified that Loatheb's Battlecry has no effect. Drakkisath's hero power overrides it. All cards cost 1, and not a thing can change that.
Really fun deck!
Haven't seen Kel for +10 trys or so, even when I managed to bring out Kel and a taunt, he plays something else to remove one of them and thats it folks, veeeeeeeeeery random. Gonna try something else now, this deck maybe working with enough luck, but I'm over it with it now.
These encounters really are the epitome of terrible game design and a huge screw you to players.
Beat him on my 2nd try in the 3nd round :D EZ win: Mirror Entity 1st round, he puts out a Force Tank and then plays Mind Games which gives him Majordomus. I kill it with Force Tank and put Mirror Image on the field. He then plays something and in the 3rd round I use Force Tank and hero ability and he's gone :D EZ Win - Tx OP!
How did you manage to use your hero power when you're locked to 1 mana?
Changing your hero power doesn't give you more mana. He is lying.
Hi!!
I have just beaten this boss with this deck. I did it at about the 10th try. The deck is pretty irrelevant for this boss. All is needed, as someone already said, is TAUNTS. For some reason the AI stop attackin my taunt minions as soon as i could get two on the board at the same time. Then i limited myself adding a minion each turn and going face while the drakkisath did nothing every turn...
Its just luck, RNG and some taunts!
Im my humble opinion, Alexstrasza is an essential card in this deck. Drakkisath has a ton of removal and his 50 health gives him a lot of time to find them.
Replaced a Master of Disguise for Alexstrasza. After a few tries I was pretty sure that giving him stealth was not such a big thing.
I was lucky to win because he did not find any removal and I got the Kel'Thuzad + Taunt & Alexstrasza pretty early in the game.
Awful boss, RNG messing with you all the time.
Attempting to mulligan 1-2 specific cards out of a total of 30 is a terrible strategy. I still attempted to beat the boss despite my lack of mulligan luck, and I got destroyed. I ended up using a different stategy/deck.
I guess they updated it, because he totally beats the crap out of my taunt minions. He always has that comman spell too that destryos my minion easily. I think deck is less liable right now.
Great deck, won it 1st try and didn't even got KT till turn 7! This deck deserves the 1st place on this boss! I am starting to believe that the true good decks are always the 2nd or 3rd one listed here, never the 1st one... Excellent job!
Finally beat him with this deck, but didn't draw Kel at that match...
He decided to skip a turn, use Command and Kidnapper on his own minion while I have stuff on board. He actually try to "be smart" by "face, nope, trade, yep". He placed a taunt when he's at 2, I'm at one. That topdeck Betrayal feels good.
No matter what deck you use, it's all about RNG screwing you up, or AI get stupid.
Even easier if you add Gang Up, Summon the second KT after a flame strike to make them basically immortal (unless he uses twisting Nether. He didn't for me.
Mulligan for Kel'Thuzad and Master of Disguise and then it's a very boring 1st try win :)
I had exactly that. And then he did destroy on t he sludge and then flamestrike on the 1/2. And then faced me with two force tank and a boulderfist. then i lost.
and then I had a sunwalker lord of the arena and kel. And then i still lost.
Anub'arak works really well in this deck. I played him early and just kept trading and recasting him leaving minions behind.
I used this, but subbed Rend Blackhand out for Anub'arak. Won first try w/ a bit of luck. Anub+KT = GG
Of all the decks I tried to beat this PITA, this is the deck that worked. Thank you!
Awesome deck, made it in the 3rd try by getting 1st sylv and 2nd kt.
The Conceal worked awesome, THX!
