Took me a long time to get legend this season finaly made it with this pally deck with a pretty good win streak. Was trying to make a good pala and ended with this list. Figured double 4-drop was extremely consistent. Figured i needed some card draw as the way i would lose was with 2 cards in my hand due to poor overall card quality in the mid-late game. Azure drake helpes solve the card card and since i was running double four drop i could afford to play a 4/4 on 5.
Emperor is completely trash in paladin and is either a win more card or gives you a turn 7 tirion which there is not much use in. People that play him are effectively playing a card that loses them tempo and ends up being a win more card meaning they play with 1 dead card in there deck. Playing with one dead card will not always effect your win rate if your lucky but it will for sure not make it any better.
Loatheb is no good vs zoo and is a 5 drop, seeing as there are way to many 5 drops you dont want to play more. Loatheb dosent help against the decks that paladin struggles with but helps vs decks paladin already has a good win rate against.
Cards like coghammer can be used if you feel the need for it but loatheb and emperor dosent fit. You can also play tech cards like harrison if your getting a lot of weapon classes. If u run coghammer u 100% will not want to cut blessing. blessing has a lot of synergy with cog hammer so i see why people want to play it and it might be very good.
Edit: Played for the entire day staying top 30- top 5. Highest i got was #3. Played the exact same list as on screen. I dropped to 400+ now and will be testing the new paladin card instead.
And why do you want to do that? just play the list as it is this is the best paladin list you can play atm.

I have answerd why you shouldnt play these cards in the comments about 5 times now and i am getting kinda tired of people asking me to change the list. I have tried all these cards and ended with this list and have had a extremely high win rate so why in the world would you even want to change anything? And by high win rate i dont mean streaking once to #1 i mean being top ranked for days with and 80% win rate.

You go full face an bgh/equality there board. Handlock has always been easy for paladin.
The only thing i don't like here is the lack of emperor thaurissan and loatheb
Then cut a Blessing and an Owl or something and make your deck better going into the late game...
How does this play with the rise of Zoo locks?
Wins vs zoo almost everytime. This list is not tilted that much vs zoo but if zoo becomes popular double owl would prblly make paladin unable to loss. With this list its a 80/20 matchup in my experience both playin zoo vs paladin and paladin vs zoo.

Have you actually tries this? Because i have and both coghammer and cult master is pretty bad atm. Cult master in general is just bad in paladin because you ALWAYS need a board in order to get any value. Cult master promotes unfavorable trades for draw which is something paladin cant afford. Its similar to KT in that its a win more card.Coghammer is great but there is to many weapons in current paladin and muster for battle is played on 3 and will never be cut from paladin as its an insane card vs aggro. Coghammer makes the deck a lot more defensive then u can often afford. If the meta changes then coghammer will most likely see some play but in current lists its not needed. Cult master should never be played as there are far better options for card draw especialy when solem vigil gets released.

Wow so i lost this acc for awhile, but finally managed to get it back. The purpose of doing that is to compliment on this deck...
I have to say this deck is innovative compared to other decks... LIke some put in defender of argus loatheb etc etc, but the azure drake implement is just a pure stroke of genius, not only does it put in a solid body, card draw, but can also buff consecration. And thats not even the core of that card, its just a bonus.
Last game managed to hide two drakes behind a belcher, was a really close game until i drew consecration. Thats a flamestrike and frostbolt for 4 mana cause its also hits face lol.
Although I understand the inclusion of Blessing of Kings, being a means to create a good trader or a finisher during midgame, I'd just ask if you tried a Hammer of Wrath in its place. Having Azures, which is fully understandable (Thaurissan isn't meant for Paladin), you could somehow benefit from Spell Damage and the direct damage as well.

blessing of kings is to gain tempo by getting a big minion that both trades and survives. Hammer of wrath generates no tempo but generates card advantage. Paladin has truesilver for clear on turn 4 so the only reason you would play hammer of wrath is to draw a card which is really really bad. effects included with dmg is in general pretty bad. Look at dragons breath vs volcanic drake, 1 is a minion the other is dmg. Same concept here ,you are getting a 4\4 buff/minion instead of dmg/draw. blessings always goes two for 1 hammer of wrath needs effort to go 2 for 1. Its just a bad card in general and azure drake synergy is not enough. Azure drake is in this deck because it draws a card and generates board not because of its synergy with spell power even tho conc +azure drake is pretty good its not worth adding more synergy. Blessing is extremely good vs both druid and hunter which is 2/4s of the meta. Druid=buff + trade. Hunter=dodge explosive hit for 4+dmg.
In my eyes both cards are bad, but I agree that Azure is good, due to lack of any other options. I guess it's choosing the lesser of two evils, but then again you could easier add a 2nd Senjin, since you mention that you always need a taunt against Savage Skill Druid. i actually played double snejin at first and ran a much more defensive list but this didnt work. Cards like blessing,muster,truesilver etc is in the deck because they trade favorable and lets you race. if you just sit there heal and wait for the druid to cycle his deck you will never win as there is no way your gonna be able to clear there board every turn and keep above 14. Blessing is a card that punishes your opponent for not trading going for face instead which is the type of card paladin REALLY needs, a tempo card. Blessing is a pretty bad card in it self but because the meta is what it is and paladin has no better answer to certain scenarios it gains a lot of value. After muster was introduced blessing became playable and is now a card that can be used in a meta where pressuring your opponent is more worth then card value(as blessing is pretty poor value vs some decks).
The bad thing about Muster is that against the popular matchups, it's usually a 'deal 1 damage, get an AoE from your opponent' type of card if played early. Name it Unleash, Swipe or Explosive trap, Recruits die en-masse. Now if one survives, getting Blessed will reward you for your effort but I don't think that this will happen often.
yup i have to agree.... was a bit skeptical at first because blessings of kings has gone obselete... but played in rank at rank 2 for a couple times and have to say im sold.
Most of the time it trades for 2 or 3 minions, and if you buff it on a 3atk minion like sludge it generates a lot of prescence.
Opponent is forced to trade 2-3 minions for it or BGH it. Which will clear the air for boom.
What about to cut Dr.Boom For Trogzor?I play him in my BGH target free paladin deck with nice results.is Dr.Boom a must for your deck or i can cut him?Also,what's your thoughts for adding Kezan Mystic for the Huntard/Mech mage MU?
