Took me a long time to get legend this season finaly made it with this pally deck with a pretty good win streak. Was trying to make a good pala and ended with this list. Figured double 4-drop was extremely consistent. Figured i needed some card draw as the way i would lose was with 2 cards in my hand due to poor overall card quality in the mid-late game. Azure drake helpes solve the card card and since i was running double four drop i could afford to play a 4/4 on 5.
Emperor is completely trash in paladin and is either a win more card or gives you a turn 7 tirion which there is not much use in. People that play him are effectively playing a card that loses them tempo and ends up being a win more card meaning they play with 1 dead card in there deck. Playing with one dead card will not always effect your win rate if your lucky but it will for sure not make it any better.
Loatheb is no good vs zoo and is a 5 drop, seeing as there are way to many 5 drops you dont want to play more. Loatheb dosent help against the decks that paladin struggles with but helps vs decks paladin already has a good win rate against.
Cards like coghammer can be used if you feel the need for it but loatheb and emperor dosent fit. You can also play tech cards like harrison if your getting a lot of weapon classes. If u run coghammer u 100% will not want to cut blessing. blessing has a lot of synergy with cog hammer so i see why people want to play it and it might be very good.
Edit: Played for the entire day staying top 30- top 5. Highest i got was #3. Played the exact same list as on screen. I dropped to 400+ now and will be testing the new paladin card instead.
Hi Xzirez, I am new to pally, and absolutely love this deck. I have climbed highest in ladder using it. Only problem is I don't have Tirion Fordring. My temp replacement is Ragnaros the Firelord, which I have had luck with. Do you recommend building it when I have the dust?
If you like using Pally definitely craft him, fantastic legendary. Rag should work fine though
If u like playing paladin then u will need to craft him, he is the only legend with taunt making him great vs both aggro and control. If i could i would run him in all my decks a long with cenarius and dr boom as these are the best legends in the game imo. Tirion is a most have for all paladin decks and will always be played in all control/midrange paladin builds.
How do use Blessing in this deck? Good list overall though
In my experience, it has great synergy with muster for battle and shielded mini-bot. You can even get a nice taunt from a slime.
The recruits will rarely be wiped immediately after they are played, which allows you to follow up with blessing of kings. The resulting 5/5 can favourably trade with a lot of the minions at this stage of the game. The mini bot's divine shield can get a lot of value with blessing, leaving a 6/6 which is just under the range of BGH.
OK, thanks for the helpful, informative and non patronizing response!
I'm not sure which one of us is paranoid. Probably both :/
I don't usually comment in here but this time i feel like i have to. The deck is amazing, the guys that complain are the ones that don't play the deck properly. Best touch being by far the azure drake.Surely helps a lot along with concecration when you want to take out a hell ton of Grim Patrons at once
Well, this deck is really great. Just like your old face hunter deck ;) The only decks I'm having difficulty against are Full Control Warrior(the armor stacking combined with Alexstrasza halving my HP and Grommash Hellscream finishing me) and Control Priest(the SW:Ds and Thoughsteals getting your best cards =[). I often feel like I run out of steam in drawn-out games against these two. Any tips for these match-ups?
VS warrior u play super slow if u dont have an insane hand and vs priest you go aggro and win early game.
Interesting deck, good job :)
Very nice deck :) .
Played 12 games. Lost 8 of them. With the current meta this deck is sucking pretty much you know what :)
not the deck that sucks. i played for hours today staying top 20 -top 5. The deck is amazing in the current meta. Are you sure you played the right deck list you know :)?
Hey :) i'm playing this deck and i really like it .
Though i don't have zombie chow, i used leper gnome.
do you think there is a better replacement than leper gnome for the zombie chow ?
Zombie chow must be in this deck, and leper gnome is a very poor replacement. Chows whole purpose is to control the board and not allow any early threats or coined in 2 drops. it ultimately counters knife jugglers
Great deck for the current meta. Only issue I am having is a clog up of 4 drops game after game, I do mulligan them away but they often get replaced by other 4 drops sadly. With that one issue I am still well over 60% win rate at rank 2, any advice on the 4 dxrop clog ups? I do not want to remove any as they are all very important to the synergy of the deck.
If I do tho would it be better to remove the shredders or the kings & sen'Jin?
Hate Zombie Chow Hate It, Hate It, Hate it. I get thats its a 1 mana for 2/3, but i abhor, give my opponent any help at all. You hit for 2 turns for 4 damage and then its KO'ed and they get back the 4 health and to me its a waste of actions.
You're doing it wrong
If I replace [card]Blessing of Kings[/card] and [card]Sen'jin Shieldmasta[/card] for Coghammer and Loatheb is a bad idea ?
