Hello everyone..

Some of you may know my older Priest deck, which I used to reach legend on season 11 and updated for season 12 (and can be updated for season 13, as well).

But, in that time, i spend most of my time on deck builders instead of actually playing, trying to build new decks with the upcoming BRM cards.

Luckly, the two most important cards for my gamestyle (control) and for one of my favourite classes was released first (Thaurissan and Ressurect), so I present to you guys my new control deck, which have a few forgotten cards and don't have cards that most Priest players considers as staples.

So, here we go!!!

HOW DO I PLAY THIS DECK:

Well, this deck is a Control Priest and it is slow. Try to have the board clean as much as possible in the first 5 turns. Don't hesitate to drop Injured as a 4/3 or Auchenai on turn 4 w/o Circle of Healing, because you have 2 Lightbombs and 2 Holy Novas to wipe the board.

You will have more value when you are in mid game with Cairne, Thaurissan, Belchers, etc..

In the late game, you have the Sneed's and Ysera.

You have Faceless Manipulator as well, which is a versatile card, since it can copy a Belcher against Rogue, Druids and Aggros, big threats against Control, and even if he died after being copied, Ressurect bring back the copied minion.

Well, talking about Ressurect, you need to learn how to use it properly.. Against aggro, ressurecting a Injured Blademaster is the best thing you can do. Auchenai Soulpriest is amazing too.
Against control, you will want to hold your Northshire until mid game, so you can drop Cairne or Sylvana, wait until opponent kills it and Ressurect.

Always try to control the range of RNG in Ressurect. I know, i can ressurect Northshire, but it's quite rare and usually the 'worst' minion you'll ressurect is a 4/7, which is pretty good.

Don't be too greedy with it. If you can get a Cairne or a Injured Blademaster, use it..
A 4/7 or a 4/5x2 for 2 mana is just sick.

SOME EXPLANATIONS ABOUT THE CARDS:

I always say that, if you want to get good results with a deck that you didn't created, you need to understand the deck.

I will try to put some light in a few cards of my deck:

Why no Wild Pyromancer? Because there are less aggros after BRM, and ressurecting a Wild Pyromancer (which is drop'd earlier in the game most of the times) is not what we call 'tempo gain'.

Why no Cabal Shadow Priest? Even if Cabal do a great tempo swing, most control and mid ranges decks don't have amazing 2 or less attack drops. Against Warrior, you can steal Armorsmith or Acolyte, the first just OK and the second will probably make you fatigue. Against Druids, only Keeper of the Grove. Against Paladins, usually you steal a Silver Hand with steroids, since Shielded will be drop'd early. That said, i preffer a Lightbomb, Cairne, and another minions that, even if they're slower, they have more value.

Why no Mind Control? Well, because it took all your turn (or almost it, if you can use Thaurissan with it) and the main reason for having MC is to steal a opponent's threat, which you can do with Faceless Manipulator + SW:D, or Sylvana + SW:D or just trade. I know, its not precise, but i actually have no room for MC and slower than Ysera, most of the time.

Why no Light of the Naaru? Do you want to ressurect a 1/2? Yeah, got that.

Why no Vol'jin? Because it sucks against aggro and a lot of the time is a dead card in your hand if you can't kill the minion along with Vol'jin. Ressurecting it is not that good, too.

MULLIGAN:

Against Aggros (Face Hunter, Mech Mage, Shockadin): Northshire Cleric, Injured Blademaster, Auchenai Soulpriest, Holy Nova, Shadow Word: Pain. If you have Injured or Auchenai, keep Circle of Healing. Keep Ressurect if you have Injured. Keep Lightbomb and/or Sludge Belcher if you have a terrible hand. I'm not facing too much aggro and that's why there's only one SW:Pain and Holy Fire, but if you are, see some tips on tech cards for better replacements.

Against mid-ranges (Paladin, Druids, Mages): Same as above, but you can keep Lightbomb against Paladin, because of Muster+Quarter. Against Druids, try to get the Circle of Healing + Injured Blademaster combo, since its guarantee your early and mid game.

Against Control (Warrior, slow Paladin, Priest): Here you can be a little greedy, since these are slower matchups. Mulligan for Northshire Cleric, Sludge Belcher, Thoughtsteal and Auchenai Soulpriest. Obviously, keep Injured Blademaster and Circle of Healing if you have them.

Against Rogues: You need to get the board as soon as possible, even if you need to sacrifice your Northshire for that.. But the best start you can ever get against a Rogue is Injured Blademaster, Coin and Ressurect. Don't mind if it get killed (that's why you don't need Circle) because it will ressurect as a 4/7 and at least will bait a Sap, which is one less for you Sludge Belcher. Be aware about Face Rogue, that play faster than Oil.. Always play with your health as higher as possible, which means constant using your hero power to heal yourself. Cairne can be decisive in that matchup, since it can trade a lot.

Against Handlock: Well, you have 2x Lightbomb and 2x Shadow Word: Death.. Just be sure you have some board presence when you face Jaraxxus, or at least a Lightbomb to wipe the Infernals.

TECH CARDS:

Holy Fire for Antique Healbot - Better option if you're facing a lot of aggros. Better heal and board presence;

Thoughtsteal or Lightbomb or Faceless Manipulator for a second Shadow Word: Pain - Better option against aggros. Can reduce the damage you took on the early game and allow you to survive until turn 5~6, where you can use Lightbomb/Nova.

Cairne Bloodhoof for Cabal Shadow Priest - Better against aggro too. Faster, tempo swing and reduces the board of the opponent.

Faceless Manipulator for Harrison Jones - Good against Warrior, Paladins, some Shamans and mostly Rogues. Rogues are a pain in the ass for Priests, so don't expect that Harrison alone will make your winrate grow up a lot.

REPLACEMENTS:

First, don't have two Mind Control in your deck.

Sneed's Old Shredder -> Mind Control, Foe Reaper; Threats, traders, big guys.

Ysera -> Mind Control; It's hard to replace Ysera on a Priest.

(If you don't have both, use Dr.Boom+Ragnaros, but be aware that you can ressurect a stupid Boom Bot)

Cairne Bloodhoof -> Sky Piloted Golem; Same idea, worst status (for Priest), RNG effect.

Sylvanas Windrunner -> Just craft it, or put a Cabal Shadow Priest, but don't expect the same winrate.

Emperor Thaurisann -> You can't play this deck, since you'll not have Ressurect as well.

Faceless Manipulator -> Use Mind Control or Cabal Shadow Priest.

Lightbomb -> Hard to replace, since it's your big tempo swing.. but you can use Cabal Shadow Priest, Shadow Madness or Shadow Word: Pain. Again, don't expect the same results.

Hope you guys enjoy it!!

Any doubts, like matchups, replacements, and other stuffs.. Please just ask, i will try to asnwer.
