This is the decklist I am currently #1 EU with. The list comes from Odemian.
I would run Sylvanas Windrunner instead of The Black Knight cause it's better against cancer and ebola + it locks up your oppenet more
Any Replacement for Neptulon??
With Lava Shock and Fireguard Destroyer being granted to the Shaman class, I'm eager to see how this deck will be updated.
Cards that I'm hoping will make it (alongside from the above mentioned two cards): Unbound Elemental, Earth Elemental, Thaurissan
I've been playing this deck a bit recently and really like it. I sort of feel like I could've won a few games I lost if I'd had some healing though. Anyone see room for a Healbot in here anywhere? I have no idea what I'd cut, maybe a defender of argus? But that seems like it would cause you to take more damage than the healbot could heal.
Probably sub out Black Knight if you're running into tons of aggro. He's pretty dead in those matchups that don't typically run belchers, or any defense.
Is Doomhammer a good replacement for alakir?
Not really. It's pretty hard to replace Big Al, but you can try Rag or an Argent Commander.
I like Rag a lot in shaman, though I'm not sure I'd run him over Al'akir. I have run Al, Rag and Neptulon in the same deck. That was fun.
How does this deck defend against aggressive decks like mech mage and face hunter?
Emperor Thaurissan for Loatheb ?
I was thinking Emperor Thaurissan for Azure Drake, Mana Tide Totem or maybe TBK/tech slot. Loatheb is kinda good in shaman decks.... Thoughts ppls?
I would have to agree not to drop loatheb... sooner drop a zombie chow, azure drake, or TBK
Not a great idea in my honest opinion. Thaurissan doesn't mitigate Overload problems enough to be really worth it, and plus Shamans tend to play with smaller hands until they drop Neptulon in the late game. Hero powering nearly every turn is very common and even then we often float mana.
Gonna say after playtesting ET doesn't bring consistent value in shaman midrange. It can lead to some crazy stuff with Neptulon, Alakir and overload cards. But drawing ET when he is valuable is way too RANDOM.
The Russian doesn't work well in shaman decks. Your turn 6 is either going to a Fire Ely turn or else you're playing several smaller cards which need to be used to keep up with the board. He just doesn't fit the curve and his effect is hard to get value from in shaman.
Hey guys, ive tried 11point5ft's shaman deck over the season and i only manage to get around rank 2 but im just not able to get legend. Any tips? Im going to try this deck but how do i play against a huntard? What are the good matchups for this deck and what are not?
From my experience, huntard is a bad match-up. I reached legend with midrange shaman, and I had about 39% winrate against hunt. demo and shaman were 50/50 for me, and all the rest were favorable match-ups, especially warrior (7 games, 7 wins) and druid.
I just finished 3 missions with chaman!, thank you!
Are Sylvanas and Rag a good replacement for Neptulon and Black Knight?
I haven't played this deck, but I'd say probably yes
