It's my variation of tempo mage. I was inspired by one of CosplayGrills decks but I've made some changes. For example I'm not using flamecannon and sylvanas. I just reached top 1 EU with this decklist with w/l ratio about 20/4 or something like this. You can see me playing this deck on my stream http://www.twitch.tv/bloodlips :)
BRM is out so there is more druids and control decks so i change deck for this meta. Im now using Flamecannons (so good vs shades) and i decided to stabilize mid and late game so i added acolytes (in mid late you are able to ping them and they are still better vs aggro then arcane intellect). This change making this deck not card lack in late game.
I replaced it with Faceless Manipulator and I liked it
thanks it works very well !
I just want to thank you for making this decklist public. I just went from rank 19 to rank 11 with it starting yesterday. Rank 12 was the highest rank I could get to in previous seasons, so my goal now is to get to rank 10 before this season ends. I played Mech Mage until it stopped being viable last season and still don't have all the cards to make a Freeze or Fatigue Mage so I was surprised to find that this deck not only works well, but is really fun to play!
I replace Mana Wyrm with Bloodmage Thalnos instead and it is serving me rather well.
It manage to power up my Flamecannon to kill off the irritating 5/5 minions such as Shieldmaiden and now the newly Emperor Thaurissan. It also serve me in my late game to boost up my Flamestrike, not to mention as a finisher for my Fireball 'scumbag' kill.
Last but not least, if you are desperate to cycle for card draw, this can be save as a last minute resort.
concede
Against hunters you need to search your starting hand for Frostbolt, Flamecannon, and even Mad Scientist. If you can kill his board till at least Turn 5, your chance to win will be rather high because Hunter run out of juice rather quickly.
But I would say it is a 50/50 chance against aggro Face Hunters with this deck.
I disaggre, even if I do clear the board, you need to use spells (not taunts), so turn 6 you have no taunts;
Stonetusk Boar + Kill Command + hero power = 6 mana (8 dmg) is too big (there are many other variations as well)
if they have; Glaivezooka equiped from an earlier turn; 10 dmg
I would also say the winrate is like 50/50 but its pretty close everytime i face them. i play a second Mana Wyrm wich is a hugh threat and the dont die from there Traps. Turn 5 Belcher is pretty good and the best is if you are lucky in your unstable portal (i always keep them in starting hand) you get Murlocs or biggis the are cheap and ad a lot of pressure in the early game for them. Be the Aggroplayer in the right moments seams to work.
Yeah, this deck is working great for me! Sometimes you don't get anything exciting from Unstable Portal, but even when you don't, the rest of your minions are good enough to keep up with the board. So when you do get something exciting, it feels amazing getting to play something cool 3 turns early. >:)
Portal is a lot of fun. It is random, so you can end up with cruddy card as often as you end up with something great, but it can be a fun challenge to work with some of the weird cards it pulls. I think if you're white knuckling it at the top ranks, portal can be too risky but the randomness makes for hilarity sometimes.
I have played a lot of very cool cards 3 turns early and here's my warning: be careful playing harmful legendaries just because you got them from Portal! I still cringe that I just had to play that Deathwing that one time, losing me a perfectly winnable game and bringing me up the ranks. I couldn't resist! It was Golden and sooooo shiny and big! "Whoops" :[
After updating to the most recent version, I haven't won any games
Yeah, this is obvious. Just look at his changes. Maybe you need to change the deck how the meta shift is on your ladder.
So if you are facing a lot of Face Hunter or other Rush decks, add 2 Chows and then 2nd wyrm. If you are facing a lot of Face Hunters / Mech Mages, add Kezan Mystic. If you are facing a lot of Face Hunters and some CW/Pally/etc. add Harrison.
Dont just copy past decks, think about them (how is the meta). Use deck trackers if you are not sure about "your" meta.
Hello. So I have been testing this for quite a while now, and 4/5 games I end up starting with zero plays before turn three. This is quite painful, but usually I've been able to pull the game off somehow.
I have otherwise pretty good win ratio, but partially because of this reason, I have won 0/10 games against face hunter with this deck
How can I replace Sylvanas Windrunner? Can I use The Black Knight?
Also, what is the meaning of using Acolyte of Pain? Should I shoot it and get a card?
How i can replace dr boom? can i use Ysera?
Nothing can replace Dr. Boom.
Gamo Ton Koko
yea actually, but maybe we are only doing something wrong or idk...
I'm win streaking at this ranks atm. But an "older List" ...
-Ragnaros (i dont own Ragnaros)
- 2 Shredder
+Mana Wyrm
+ Kezan Mytic / + Kirin Tor Mage
I think that Kezan is really good agains Hunter (i face them alot) and Freezemage and Kirin brings a lot of Tempo to this Deck... so i sticked to a more "klassic" Tempo Magelist and its going really good for me at the moment, but maybe i'm just getting good matchups ...
