Long time I've been trying to make warrior work out on the ladder... Last month I was pretty frustrated with the huge number of druids and paladins I was facing when trying to hit legend with my favorite class, then I realized that the original Warrior God build (by Sjow) wasn't up to date so I had to change it a little bit.

I got a pretty solid 23 win streak (and still counting) with this deck from rank 5 to legend (top 20). The overall win rate was 90%! Maybe I was lucky, maybe I faced 23 straight retarded players, or maybe the deck is just a pretty good and solid deck, it's up to you to decide.

Win Streak

If you don't know Sjow's Warrior, check it out before reading the changes I made.

First of all, despite of the fact that every single player is playing Dr. Boom on turn 7 (most likely, haha) I decided to cut Big Game Hunter from the deck. Why? The ladder is fulfilled with a bunch of agro/tempo/combo decks so even when you have a BGH to "counter" Dr. Boom it isn't enough, some times the most valuable play is just Whirlwind + Execute or maybe Shieldmaiden + Shield Slam.

Second, no Ragnaros. Yep, you read that correctly, NO RAGNAROS. Most people may be shocked but you must believe me: Ragnaros is a trash card and even if it hits perfectly every single time it isn't enough to beat Paladins, Rogues, Hunters, Mech Mages, Druids, and stuff. I consider this card a pretty dead card in most of the matches in this meta.

Third, adding two Bomb Lobbers. Pretty good removal and basically a winning condition against Druids (think about the value of removing his Shade before even getting value with it). It may sound weird but this card is OP even against control decks (you don't really need to spent your big removals in annoying cards like Belchers, Harrison, Loatheb, Azure Drake, etc.) with some little help of your weapons, Cruel Tasks, whirlwind, etc. Believe me, this card gives you an edge even in the control vs control match ups.

Fourth, no Harrison Jones, Black Knight or silences at all. I which I could include those cards in my deck as well, unfortunately you only get to put 30 cards in a deck. These cards are pretty good, BUT they are extremely situational cards, that's a big problem when you try to beat the ladder. Some times you just can not afford to have a dead hand for like 2 or 3 turns, that's the main reason I decided to cut these cards.

Finally, Healgod! Yeah, you all will be amazed with how good this card is when you face the ladder. By far, this card is the most surprising fact of the entire deck list. Healbot has synergy with cards like Brawl (let your opponent overextend one extra turn before brawling just because you can afford taking 8 extra damage) and Alextrazza (sometimes you could be afraid to go ham with Alex against agro because you don't have heal in the deck, and in some situations you are pretty low before turn 9 and you just need to survive until Alex yourself). It keeps you out of combo range when playing against druid and 9 out of 10 Oil Rogues just concedes after you play it. It also allows you to get valuable trades with your weapons because you can afford to take the damage to the face. To be honest, this card is broken.

As I promissed, I did a quick mulligan guide for you guys:

1) Mage (Most likely Mech Mage): Fiery War Axe, Armorsmith, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Cruel + Exec, Whirlwind, Acolyte of Pain, Death's Bite + Coin

If the opponent plays Freeze Mage, just armor up two turns and wait for him to concede.

2) Hunter: Fiery War Axe, Armorsmith, Cruel, Whirlwind, Acolyte of Pain, Death's Bite + Coin, Healgod, Belcher + Coin, and I would also always keep Belcher if my early game is already good enough

3) Druid: Cruel + Exec, Fiery War Axe, Execute, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Acolyte of Pain, Death's Bite + Coin, Bomb Lobber

Keep aware of the combo and get board control as early as you can, that's your winning condition

4) Paladin: Whirlwind, Acolyte of Pain, Death's Bite, Cruel Taskmaster, Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, and I would also consider keeping Brawl + Coin depending on my hand

Keep in mind Muster of Battle + Quartermaster combo and be ready to play brawl or Baron Gueddon + Death's Bite deathrattle or Whirlwind

5) Shaman (Most likely Mech Shaman): Fiery War Axe, Armorsmith or Acolyte + Whirwind or Cruel Taskmaster, Shield Slam (If you don't have how to deal with his Zap-o-Matic), Death's Bite + Coin, Brawl + Coin, and I would probably keep Belcher + Coin if my hand is terrible

6) Priest: Fiery War Axe, Cruel Taskmaster + Execute, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Acolyte of Pain, Death's Bite, Bomb Lobber + Coin, and I would keep Sylvanas if I already have a good starting hand

Don't play Alextrazza turn 9 just because you can, you must wait until you have a weapon or board control + Grommash (and an activator)

7) Rogue (Most Likely Oil): Armorsmith, Acolyte of Pain, Fiery War Axe, Death's Bite, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Cruel Taskmaster + Execute, Whirlwind + Exec, Whirlwind + Bomb Lobber + Coin (To clear Violet Teacher + students)

8) Warlock (It's tricky because it can be Zoo, Midrange or Handlock): Fiery War Axe, Armormith, Acolyte of Pain, Whirlwind, Cruel Taskmaster + Execute, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Death's Bite + Coin

9) Warrior: Because you don't have Harrison Jones you should draw as much as you can in the beginning and keep in mind you have to get the maximum value of every single value of your cards because most likely the opponent runs BGH and bigger minions as well, but don't worry too much, just try to force him to have bad trades, get value from your Sylvanas and try to kill small threats with Bomb Lobber + Cruel Taskmaster or Weapon hit, and save your big removals for his big creatures. I would keep Acolyte of Pain (+ Cruel Taskmaster or Whirlwind + Exec or Death's Bite), Weapon or Cruel Taskmaster + Execute, Shield Block + Shield Slam, Death's Bite, Fiery War Axe, Bomb Lobber + Coin

Hope you liked it! Keep rating up the deck, thank you all!
