This deck wrecks mech mage with blood knight because they dont have a good way to kill it. And all I see in the meta is mech mage!
The way you win, its by keeping your argent squire for blood knight. The rest is simple you play like a normal paladin. People will often use all their silence/removals for blood knight so that makes Tirion, Sylvanas and sludge very strong!
This deck wins vs all the classes. The only way you lose is by bad start/card draw or unlucky witch will happen, BUT not often because theirs a lot of midrange cards.
I took the idea from Tidesoftime and modified it.
A very good way to learn this deck is to watch Tides stream: http://www.twitch.tv/tidesoftime
If your'e looking for a beast new meta control paladin watch this:http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/198868-legend-90-win-rate-strifrecro-control
Biggest problem i see with deck after climbing from 20 to 12 yesterday is the lack of card draw.
Congrats you won 100$! you found the only bad part of this deck.
its 85% win rate with me cause im the best. cancer
If the enemy starts with a zombie chow, your deck really get screwed. When the enemy know what deck he plays against and pops all bubbles with priority, then you don't really have a way to keep up, especially because the lack of card draw.
If you draw the perfect hand, ok, then you will keep up, but that do many decks else. I personally don't believe in any decks that promise a 80% winrate. 55-60 ok, 70 is really really good, but never 85%.
But bad hands, especially at the beginning can make the difference: you have 50% cards above 4 mana and even below it you have many spells that have now immediate effect.
I do not say it is a bad deck, no it seems good and have a nice way to deal with many threads, but 85% winrate: i don't see how.
Very good idea i'll try it out today and let you know.
Why no Argent Protector in this deck? It gives a divine shield, giving it perfect synergy with Blood Knight. Could replace the knife jugglers with it.
great idea i'll have to try it out soon. thanks
My friend what you say about to change Dr Boom for Troggzor ?
Dr.Boom OP! all i got to say.
This deck is so hilarious ive played it 5 games and 2 of those games ended on turn three concedes. First vs a warlock i coined double squire then turn to shielded mini and turn 3 had a 12 12 knight and he left. Just now vs a mage i dropped a squire he dropped annoyotron i coined blood knight to a 9-9 then turn three coghammered it and he left
Nice
Kezan mystic is really good or even acolyte would be a good addition.
Nice deck Nick. Would you recommend your bubbledin or Strifecro's control pally for ranks 7-4 ( filled with mech mages & Rogues ) ?
If u have 2 bubbles and 2 blood knights on the battle field and after playing blood knight it becomes a 9-9, does that mean its enranged? Thanks for the deck have like a 86%win rate.
The fact that Blood Knight is there, makes for another threat that must be dealt with, giving the midrange paladin's real threats some breathing room. I tried the deck yesterday on the legend rank and it was quite good. I never missed Zombie Chow, so the Argent Squire is a keeper, never missed Mind Control Tech because Blood Knight was usually a 6/6 by turn 3 or 4.
I swapped Harrison Jones for The Black Knight. Swapped one Quartermaster for another Bulcher (not sure if it's a good move).
Good deck, good games and in general less stressful games than the typical pala list. Card draw is an issue, so I would address this somehow (Cult Master?)
P.S 1: I also run a Big Game Hunter, but I can't remember what I replaced it for.
P.S 2: Win rate was not 85%, but it was definitely positive.
"And all I see in the meta is mech mage"
Regardless of whether your deck is control, aggro, or midrange, almost everyone and their grandmother is running Dr. Boom, so wouldn't you want to make room for a BGH?
Plus, there's also Black Knight to consider putting in, since Sludge Belcher seems to be another must-have in every control/midrange deck too (as well as a bonus against Druid and Handlock).
it show's that you have not played with this deck. you can equality dr.boom or aldor it and keep going face.
But isn't a control deck supposed to have room for answers to all of the opponent's threats?
I'm not denying the usefulness of Aldor or Equality, but what happens when you don't draw them on the exact turns that you desperately need them? (and let's face it, your deck is sorely lacking in terms of reliable card draw, aside from the lone Lay on Hands, maybe we could make room for a Cult Master in response?)
Anyway, returning to my point, by then, you would want a backup plan, right? In this case, I'm arguing that BGH and BK should be your backup plans.
I've been playing around with Bolvar Fordragon instead of one of the Quartermasters. My thought is that I found the extra Quartermaster was a dead card often and I wanted something big mid game (another sap for removal spells for instance). Thoughts?
Ya its not bad to put Bolvar but i dont like it because if you dont have him early its more dead then the quartermaster and if they sap bolvar its even more dead card.
