Kolento just hit legend's rank 1 playing this deck
Love this deck , going to try removing 1 of the Earthen Ring Farseers for Antique Healbot. Really hard vs Savage Roar combo druid. I've had excellent ratios vs other classes with this particular deck. Currently I am closing in on Rank 11
If you're going to add an Antique Healbot, it should be in place of an Earthen Ring Farseer (Which I don't recommend). The shade is there in place of Edwin Vancleef, and if you get it out early, it can win you games. It almost guarantees a target for your Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, which is why it's in the deck.
I tried a variation with Auctioneer but he really doesn't work.
1. Cost is too much. 6 mana, you might be able to get 1 or 2 card out of it and that's pretty much it, remember that you have to cycle spells to get cards. 7 mana instantly give you 3 extra cards (Sprint replaces itself) or 4 mana for 2 extra cards (prep + sprint) are better options.
2. There is no conceal or shadow step in this deck, which makes Auctioneer plays really weak, you have no way to protect him from removals.
Shade is nice, I run a variation with Vancleef, it also works. But Shade is harder to remove for most classes.
i love this deck :D. i got win streak using this deck for the first time using this ;D
Is Deckhand really worth it in this kind of deck? I see that it may be useful for a Combo'd Oil burst damage wombocombo(and maybe as a quick removal "spell") but I still don't see why it's worth a slot in this deck.
Don't think I ever lost to this with my Shaman, but who plays Shaman!?
There are a lot of cancer meck shamans in ladder. Due to Firebat deck.
I think it's fun to go up against this deck on ladder. Not to trash talk anyone but more than, perhaps 70%, don't know how to play Rogue at all. Resulting in easy ladder climbing.
Agreed haha, I love it. I play my Gold Rogue w/ full gold cards and fight other non-gold rogue's on the ladder and almost every time they entirely misplay xD
Because golden cards are an indicator of skill.
Obv they are that's why they are gold duh.
Nope obviously Golden Cards are an indicator of Botting
what could i replace Bloodmage Thalnos × 1 with.. dont got him. :S i know its probably an important card in this deck. but while waiting to be able to craft him.
would loot hoarder work to or kobold is better then loot
In old school Miracle it was often better to replace Thalanos with loot hoarder or a gnomish for the draw but oil rogue relies very heavily on spell damage so kobold is probably the better choice. Try out both and see what works better for you.
aight thx for the info
I'd probably suggest trying the Kobold Geomancer [/card] as your replacement. Or perhaps [card]Dalaran Mage. I feel the Kobold is better because of the cheaper cost when trying to combo.
Hi, thanks for sharing.
So, I've been wondering, does 2 sprints really work? I feel like losing 2 turns for Sprinting (not a turn loss if using Preparation, but maybe you need Preparation for other things?) would make me losing the control of the game. I saw some decks using Auctioneer. What do you guys think?
More times than not you want your prep for end game combo burst; also it isn't really 4 cards for 4 mana, it's +2 cards for 4 mana (you spend 2 cards in hand to get 4).
I find it better some times to just use sprint as a vanilla 7 mana by end game some times; though if you're really itching for some answers early game than what has to be done has to be done.
I'd say warrior is more of a problem, but thankfully there aren't too many of those around. Agreed about the shade. It will win games here and there though.
