Tried this deck and instantly liked it.
It can be really aggressive and quick, but also has some solutions for longer lasting matches (good old equality for example).
The only card I didnt have was Harrison Jones...took an Azure Drake instead which offers at least a bit of extra card draw and works well with Consecration.
Overall...nice deck ! Couldn't find a serious weak spot in it...even when playing Hunter or Zoo it did well.
Acolyte of Pain isn't really that good in a paladin deck, cult master is a much prefered card imo. Cult master works incredibly well with muster for battle and your hero ability, it pretty much solves your weak drawing ability.
I thought the same thing till I played about 50 games with cult master. It is waaaaay easier getting two cards out of acolyte than it is setting up a board then trading after you played a cult master imo.
The issue with Cult Master is that you don't wanna sacrifice your dudes when you're running double Quartermaster as well. It might be reasonable if you run 1 copy each but there's no place for a Cult Master in a deck that runs 2 QM.
Don't have Harrison Jones, will try with Bolvar Fordragon in his place. Or maybe an Antique Healbot or a Faceless Manipulator
what is the mindset you should have when playing this deck? when i try playing it i always seem to play it wrong
share me your shaman's antiaggro deck! :)
Nice deck, this is actually really similar to the one ive been running for the past couple weeks in ladder except with -1 equality and
+1 ironbreak owl. Going to try out your build as i have been struggling with hunters all season long,
-1 quartermaster, -1 harrison jones for boom and Geddon. Thoughts?
I'm pretty sure the deck is constructed and owes a good chunk of its success to not having any BGH targets in it -- adding two would be a bad idea.
Yea you're right if I make changes like that in need to modifie the rest off the deck. I was just tinking about geddon's synergy with equality and a great comback play because this deck's comeback ability is sub par. I might make my own deck that's more control oriented with multiple BGH targets because you can't only run 1 BGH target in the current meta.
Great job with the deck! Thank you! :)
I really like this deck, and enjoy using it, but I am struggling against Hunter.I have never won against hunter. Then I added one Antique Healbot. Still win rate against hunter is very low. It is less than 10%.
Any suggestions?
mulligan hard for chow and if u have it play muster for battle early because most Hunter decks only run explosive trap for AOE removeal.
Chow, Muster for battle and Coghammer are the perfect counter to early Hunter rush, try to mulligan for them. Against aggro Hunter, don't ever hit his face when he has secret on, just focus on controlling the board, you outscale him late game.
Thank you for a nice suggestion. I have tried to focus on controlling the board, then my winning rate against hunter has been improved!! Still I need Healbot, but I can win against hunter much more than before.
Some midrange Paladin lists have already dropped Zombie Chow and never looked back. It's potentially good but most of the times bad. Most of the times=turn 4 and later.
whenever you don't get it in the opening hand yeah its useless
Just FYI hobgoblin will NOT work with muster, has to be an actual minion for the effect to take place.
You have to play a minion for it to work and muster just summons.
