Features:

> A higher curve than traditional tempo Mage.

> A positive ratio vs patron warrior.

> Effigy / unstable portal synergy.

>Duplicate to extend your curve depending on what you need (belcher/ small creatures vs aggro ; win conditions vs control).

Arcane missiles replaces flamewaker vs aggro/ tokens, flamelance give you more removal options in the early game.

Kirin tor is in my opinion necessary if you're running more than 3 secrets. It's a solid 4/3 body that makes your secret free. basicaly a mad scientist for secrets in your hand you drew too soon.
