Greetings, and welcome to the next installment in getting that coveted card back with nothing more but the cards you began the game with!

Patchwerk was tricky. I'm fairly sure that this is the absolutely only way to beat him with a free deck, and even then, it takes specific cards in your hand to accomplish.

But, most importantly, it worked! So, I give you, mage.

First, to understand Patchwerk, it's important to know his decklist:

Oh wait, he doesn't have a decklist! That's right, Patchwerk has no cards in his hand or his deck, and he doesn't draw any cards, thus negating fatigue (though with specific decks you can cause him fatigue damage by forcing draw). Instead of cards, he has an OP weapon and an OP hero power. His weapon is a 4/8 windfury that, when it 'dies,' gives him a 3 mana card that replaces the weapon. His hero power destroys a targeted minion for 4 mana. Sounds impossible to beat, right?

Well, it turns out, his own mechanics betray him. So, here's what you do:

1. Up until turn 4, delay him as much as possible by using taunts, frostbolt, whatever you can. However, do not use the coin, and save at least one 1 cost taunt (either goldshire or mirror).

2. On turn four, play a water elemental, play the coin, and play a 1 cost taunt. This is where the interesting things happen... his hero power will prioritize the taunt, leaving the water elemental alive. Additionally, this is the turn that his weapon breaks, which he prioritizes over his ability. Thus, you can hit him with the water elemental, freezing him, and as long as you have a taunt for him to break, you'll eventually wittle him down to nothing.

The tricky part comes in toward the beginning: he will hit you, hard, and you absolutely must delay damage with low cost taunts, otherwise he will destroy you before/as you hit turn four. Thus, RNG must be in your favor with your draws. It's entirely possible that you may need to restart the battle a few times.

In the end, though, you will beat patchwerk, with basic and nax cards. And that's gonna feel good!

If you have any comments, feel free to leave them. Good luck!
