A Pirate deck made by Xixo on Jan 6th. He had a 10 win streak from rank 5-4.
EDIT: Xixo is currently Rank 1, almost legend.
EDIT2: Xixo reached Rank 18 Legend with this deck! Proof of legend (Jan 7)
EDIT3: VOD for anyone interested on how to play this deck -
EDIT4: VOD links are down, sorry! I'm sure a google search will show some results.
This is a very aggressive and backspace-rogue like deck!
King Mukla is to lower enemy's Jeeves value.
EDIT Jan 7 - Took out an Argent Squire and Patient Assassin for another Blade Flurry and a Salty Dog.
EDIT Jan 8 - Salty Dog is not a serious addition to the deck and can be swapped out for whatever you guys see fit! (Thanks Infiltrator!)
EDIT Jan 11 - I think the general consensus is that Loatheb is much better than Salty Dog (RIP Reynad), so I have edited it in. Thanks everyone!
His stream can be found on http://www.twitch.tv/xixo
This deck sounds like I would win from rank 5 to 1 and then fall back to rank 12.
It's so unreliable. Maybe it wins couple of games. But all in all it loses more games.
Deck creator got to Rank 18 Legend with this deck, how is that "loses more games"?
lol the first twenty minutes of the rank 6-1 vod are him conceding b/c the deck doesn't do well against anything.
To be fair, in the first part of the video he was playing a more controlling build that wasn't optimized or focused on early aggression. As soon as he switches to the more aggro-y build that Veela posted here he went on something like a 10-game winning streak.
oh of course it definitely wasn't the same deck haha. and to say it wasn't optimized at the beginning of the vod is quite an understatement haha.
someone played it vs me today. must say it was the easiest win ever. I don't know how this can even hit legend. I think only the creator of this deck has any idea what to do with it.
Yeah I think it's Xixo's great fundamentals that carried this deck to legend. Pretty sure if I tried playing this deck I wouldn't even make it pas Rank 15.
i just got legend with it
Haha, great video :D Early aggression gamble paid off!
nice deck, played few games with it,
his One-eyed cheat cosplay was epic :D
Goes to show that if you're good you can climb with anything, even this pile.
Thanks for sharing, Veela. Backspace Rogue is the most fun HS deck I've ever played, so I'm hugely excited to try this one, :-).
By the way, it seems like Loatheb would be a good replacement for Salty Dog, since it keeps the mana curve the same but provides a hugely beneficial effect, despite the lack of Pirate synergy.
I swapped Salty for Loatheb and one-eyed cheat for a second auto-barber doing pretty good so far
I always liked Aggro Rogue. It involves a lot of thinking in deciding when to go face and when to go for tempo, while also being fast an furious. It's not the boring mindless facerush that huntards are familiar with. I was kinda sad to see T6/Backspace aggro Rogue die after Sludge Belcher release. I will definitely try this out when I feel the desire for some Rogue aggression.
btw I don't have Southsea Captains. I'm happy to craft one, but crafting two is too big of an investment. Can another Salty Dog or One-eyed Cheat fill the spot? Or maybe a Sap?
Nice to see another fan :)
I think a solid 3 drop like Spider Tank or Harvest Golem would be a suitable replacement for a Southsea Captain. I'm leaning towards Harvest Golem since it sticks on the board allowing for Cold Bloods. I've also opted out Salty Dog for a Haunted Creeper since Salty Dog gets removed way too easily.
EDIT: Guys! I'm just trying to help :( Downvotes hurt! I know Southsea Captain is hard to replace since it's so unique.. I would love some replacement suggestions.
The hardest part about this deck is knowing when to all-in (without Jeeves in your hand) and when to hold onto key combo pieces such as Ship's Cannon and pirates. I suggest watching these two VODs of him using the deck to legend for an accurate idea of how to play the deck.

Overall, it's quite an aggressive deck, but if you can make favourable trades, you should do so. Once you do draw Jeeves, just unload your hand in the most efficient way possible.
This deck is pretty solid. Sadly, I didn't have all the cards so my semi-budget solution was:
+1 Sprint
+1 Tinker's Sharpsword Oil
-1 King Mukla
-1 Captain Greenskin
I actually don't have King Mukla and Captain Greenskin myself and subbed in a Perdition's Blade and a Loatheb. It seems to work at rank 6-8 quite well.
Tinker's Sharpsword Oil is slow, but understandable with double Blade Flurry, but I feel Sprint is way too slow especially without Preparation, and double Jeeves already takes care of the card draw.
I threw in sprint because most (if not all) of my loses have been that I didn't draw jeeves :\
It's worth noting that he only added a salty dog because a guy with a 13.37 donation asked him to. He wouldn't have done it otherwise as it's the only BGH target in the deck and has a shitty body anyway.
