From the very first season I've been trying to create mage secret decks that were viable in ladder and up to date with the meta, this season this is my choice and I've been seeing success with it so far, with long win streaks.

Mind control tech is variable, depends of what you're facing, you might want to change it for a Kezan Mystic, an Ethereal Arcanist, a Lil' Exorcist or even a Loatheb.

Spellbender making a comeback because its main issue in previous seasons was that Duplicate didn't play nice with it, nowadays most decks you'll face will get wrecked by this card, warriors, priests, rogues, handlocks...you name it, it's much better than counterspell for this meta, much harder to counter and much less predictable, and since we have Echo of Medivh now, we can select what we want duplicated, so Spellbender is actually a good card now.

This deck excells vs control decks such as Warrior or Priest, but also vs Druids, and it stands a great chance vs Hunters and zoo too thanks to the owls and healbots. The deck quality is very high and most of the time you'll find yourself with favorable trades, or good stabilizing cards in the late game, as long as it doesn't get out of hand early.

Mulligan for Mad scientists, Mana Wyrm, Unstable Portal and Owls (in that specific order of preference), make sure you guarantee your early game and your late game will come along and win you the game. Don't abuse your hero power and rather play on curve, let them trade if you can afford it.

Use sylvanas+fireball if things get out of hand late game, trick handlocks into thinking you've put a mirror entity just before their 4th turn, and basically, try to understand what your rival will do so you anticipate his plays and you'll rank up in no time.

Hope you enjoy this deck, check my profile for previous versions if you're interested.
