Achieved #1 Europe December season with this deck.
The best match-up u can get is warrior, handlock and druid. On the other side the worst possible match-up is priest, zoo and mech mage.
I'm nearly sure that some of u are shocked that i didn't include hunter, but i got more wins than loses against him, so I'm not scared of this match-up at all.
The worst match-up for me is warlock, because the only good card against handlock and zoo is an Earth Shock, so knowing what kind of warlock u are facing, it's a huge advantage. I hate the muligan aspect here.
How I muligan then?
I do always keep a Rockbiter Weapon Zombie Chow Harvest Golem Haunted Creeper and Feral Spirit which is risky sometimes.
Mana Tide Totem - always against handlock, only with coin against pal, druid
Earth Shock - I do not keep it only against druid.
Flametongue Totem - I do keep it only having Haunted Creeper or Harvest Golem
<taking break> will edit rest really soon.
Thank you for posting, very consistent deck throughout the confusion of figuring out shaman in this meta.
Here is my tweak to the deck:
Looks fun. What's the best replacement for Neptulon? Sneed? KT? Rag?
I believe Sneeds or KT are good enough replacements on the board cause u want ur minions to be very sticky. I dun think rag is very good in this deck. :P
What do you think about a doomhammer in this deck?
Why have a big game hunter with two hexes?
i find it too often that i have BGH in hand with hex and hex is almost always better. (because it doesn't require the minion to have 7+ attack.)
And what card would you put in for it?
Hex is the best Hard Removal in the game. It can be used to swiftly and thoughtlessly take care of minions like Sylvanas Windrunner, Kel'Thuzad, and anything else with less than 7 attack. Hex doesn;t have to be used on just big minions either. Against Face Huntard I will sometimes Hex a Knife Juggler or Undertaker if I can see that things will quickly get out of hand.
TL;DR: BGH is mandatory in every deck during this meta. Hex is Shaman's best card.
What is the best card to replace the Al'akir?
Can Kelthuzad work in replacing Neptulon?
Most definitely yes.
great deck and I really enjoy watching you stream! What are your thoughts of running sludge belchers in it? and how do you normally handle control warriors? I have been noticing them running double antique healbots which can make things problematic for me late game
Control Warriors are really easy. The entire match is focused on making the most efficient trades as possible with your minions and playing on curve. Don't waste Hex on Shieldmaiden/Harrison/Loatheb/Sludge Belcher. Try to either one hit kill his Acolytes, or Earthshock them to deprive him of draw. Never end one of your turns with more than two different cards on the board until after he's brawled. After brawl, flood the board. That's about it. I'm 9-2 v. Warriors so my advice should be pretty good here :)
Great deck buddy, and it's working quite well for me with the few variations I've tried. Unfortunately, I don't own Neptulon. What do you think the optimal replacement is? I've tried a 2nd Mana Tide Totem, The Black Knight, and Ragnaros, and I've found success with each, but I was curious of your thoughts on the matter. A quick substitution section above (which you could make from just copy&pasting your answers to many of these comments haha) would clear up these questions in a hurry :)
Thanks in advance for you help!
He said on stream that a good replacement for Neptulon was Ragnaros, if I recall correctly.
Thanks! That was what I've had the most success with thus far too :)
Pretty good results so far, thanks man!
Shammy has the best golden hero by far. I'm going to give this deck a whirl.
why no bloodlust?
Is Neptulon often a dead card vs. Aggro ?
He's the only card I'm missing right now any replacement ?
Why 2 rockbiters with only 1 way to abuse them?
Why, when you have 2 Azure drakes, are you running 0 Lightning Bolts (with 2 rockbiters) ?
I know Neptulon is the most important card or one of them, but I don't have him:( I have all the rest of the deck tho, is there anyway if I replace neptulon with rag the deck could still be viable at around rank 5-8?
