Hey again. I have modified this deck. Did it more tempo because "control rogue" idea wasn't good.
But the new deck rly works. I'm playing at 100-300 legend rank.
I dont have time to make detailed guide right now. Hope i will do it after my exams.
Druid (with annotations)
Mech mage (without annotations)
Shaman (may be I missed lethal few times:Dand missplayed hard but I wanted to show you Prince' power)
Update: I added fans and talnos.
way to slow and cluncky to counter aggro, fun but not ladder worthy
I've climbed to Rank 6 so far using this deck and have found it very ladder-worthy. About 1/3 of this deck is devoted to high tempo cards that are effective against aggro, as well as three early board clears: 2 X Blade Flurry and a Fan of Knives.
I will say that Prince Rogue does have a steeper learning curve than other decks I have played, perhaps in part because Ayratis has not produced a detailed guide (hint hint).
It could be your mana curve, causing you to be a little more aggro than tempo? again i couldn't be so sure since i haven't seen your variation on your deck. could you tell me everything you run in the deck? id love to check out what you preferred to use.
Guys I'm in need for advice with fixing up this deck with what I can. I have everything in this deck except for 1 blade flurry, 2 preps, bloodmage thalnos, alexstraza, and dr. Boom. I have enough Dust for two legendaries, I would craft two of them but I must know, what cards are most important for this deck of which I don't have? And which can be substituted easier? What do you guys think I should do
Dr. Boom definitely- he's in so many decks, and is pretty good in this one. The blade flurry and the preps are next most important. Thalnos and alexstraza ar next, though from what I can see, they aren't the greatest in the meta, but are great in this deck. My opinion :) Still curious as to what Ayratis would say!
Thank you! I'll definately be crafting dr. Boom and I'll take it slow and See how the deck works from there!
I would focus on the missing Blade Flurry and the two Preparations before taking care of the legendaries. In my experience with this deck (currently at Rank 9), those cards are far more important to the core functionality. You need that Blade Flurry both for board clear and to double-hit your opponent's face. Likewise, Preparation allows you to pull off massive early/mid-game combos that puts immense pressure on your opponent.
Example: it's turn 6. You have 1/2 knife equipped and an Earthen Ring Farseer on the board. Your opponent's board is full of aggro trash. Preparation + Tinker's Sharpsword Oil and now your opponent is suddenly facing a 4/2 knife and a 6/3 creature; that's 10 damage to his face and you still have 5 mana. Play Blade Flurry and you deal another 4 to his face, as well as effectively Flamestrikeing his board. You still have 3 mana. Maybe you play a SI:7 Agent to ping off a 2/1 golem left over from the board clear. Recap: you dealt 14 to his face, emptied his board, and have a 6/3 and 3/3 on your side.
So while the legendaries make the deck stronger as a whole, they don't contribute to these core combos that are at the heart of what you're trying to do.
Highly recommend this deck. Much more viable that other rogue decks I have tried post GvG patch. Didn't have Dr.Boom or Alexstrasza, so I replaced them with Onyxia and Ragnaros respectively. Working well thus far.
I love this deck, but I'm really struggling against Handlock and Wallet Warrior; these two are effectively auto-losses for me right now. I've tried going face, I've tried controlling the board, and I've tried hanging back - I get dominated regardless. Does anyone have strategic advice against these two?
I am thinking +BGH and maybe +Sabotage. Still not sure if it would help significantly
I'd love to BGH a taunted Mountain Giant, but I'm not sure this deck has room to include cards like that. I have become slightly better facing these control classes, but the matchups are still really difficult. My current recipe:
vs Handlock: I mulligan as if I'm playing against Zoo - would rather maintain a high win rate vs Zoo than have minimal improvement in my low win rate vs Handlock. Apply early pressure and try to assemble a massive Blade Flurry combo to break through the wall of taunts. Don't sink a lot of effort into the Twilight Drakes. Try to save the Eviscerates for his face. With luck, you can burst him down before he starts healing inside his invincible fortress.
vs Wallet Warrior: mulligan away your early game, except for Deadly Poison which you can use to 1-shot an Acolyte of Pain. There is no point to dropping an early 3/3 because it will get efficiently removed; the shredders are good in this matchup. Use Sap to deal with his legendary spam while working toward lethal. Similar to Handlock, you are trying to find/create that narrow window where you can burst him down - if you miss the window, it's over.
Would love to see some videos from Ayratis against these two behemoths.
I featured this deck in my channel and I got to say its one of the most solid tempo rogue decks! I had some pretty sick games too. I did eventually change Loatheb for Antique Healbot because during all my games I feel the deck needs more healing and trade prince gallywix already acts as a loatheb. Sap for Big Game Hunter to fair better against control match-ups. I have a deck tech and informative gameplay in the video if you need help playing this deck!
Happy grinding!!
Best rogue deck for GvG in my opinion and it's really fun to play aswell. Thanks for the Upload and the videos :)
When playing with this deck, I believe Shredder is the better choice because it sticks long enough on the board to be targeted by tinker's sharpsword oil. Obviously violet teacher is great if you get it rolling, but if you don't then you lose a target for sharpsword oil and who doesn't immediately kill off the violet teacher when they see it.
The deck is called prince-rogue hhmhmhhmhm .
Personally I would craft Dr.Boom , because you can use him in every deck :)
dr boom
also u can replace prince with cairne
but its totally not same
How to play against priest?
replacement for boom?
i was thinking barron? he's kinda similar... could be better AOE
would like to know it as well. No boom :(
