Hi and welcome to my take on Control Paladin in the early GvG Meta, shoutout to Grumhul who made some good suggestions for this deck. If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to post them; I will always reply ;)

Why Knife Juggler?

Knife Juggler isn't something you see a lot in Control, but it helps with one of our toughest match-ups: Priest. Turn 1 Northshire Cleric can stop us from playing anything until turn 4. This gnome also has the obvious synergy with Muster for Battle and Equality. Basically it's the new Wild Pyromancer for Control Paladin.

Why Bomb Lobber?

Bomb Lobber is the replacement of Stampeding Kodo as the go-to card for mid-game control. It's slightly weaker in terms of stats, but doesn't require to be combo'd to be effective. An effective Tempo card against Aggro and Control alike.

Why Cult Master?

Paladin's biggest weakness that isn't covered by GvG is card draw for Tempo/ Midrange and Control (Aggro has Divine Favor), relying solely on the slow Lay on Hands. Cult Master is suppose to be answer for that. Ideally you use Muster for Battle on turn 3 and Cult Master on turn 4 to draw 3 cards. This card replaced Acolyte of Pain from the old Control decks.

Why only 1 Quartermaster?

The ideal moment to play this card is when you have a field full of Recruits which doesn't occur so often (people know this card exists so they kill them asap). As a turn 7 play this can be combined with the Hero Power or turn 8 with Muster for Battle. Against Aggro Quartermaster is just too slow to have more then one copy. Defender of Argus serves as the alternative option to buff, except not only recruits, thus performing a similar role.

The other cards used like Shielded Minibot and Dr. Boom are also great additions for Paladin. The mech, alongside Juggler and Muster for Battle gives us a more manageable early game (no need for Holy Light anymore) and the Boom Bots go well alongside Equality, Knife JugglerCult Master and are great to maintain (or get back) board control.

LoathebHarrison Jones can also be good depending on the meta. Feel free to replace a Bomb Lobber for one of them should they be required.
