I was able to reach Legend using this deck in June
Climbed from rank 5 to legend playing this almost exclusively

Develop board from first round if possible. Always play Elementals every turn to keep their battlecries active. Try controlling the board through your battlecries rather than spells, so you can save them to deal lethal.

Mulligan:

Look for your 1 and 2 mana drops. You may want to keep Overflow Surger, especially if going second, 'cause it it survives one turn, it's a lot of damage you can push.
It's not a good idea to keep Fireball or Molten Rune, as these are mostly burn to finish off the opponent.

Matchups:

Bad: Handubff Death Knight, and especially Handubff Paladin are terrible. You have to be really lucky to win these, so don't stress too much about it.
Druid should also be pretty tough, since they can fill the board with a lot of big decent stat minions. If you are facing these decks too much, maybe consider going with something else.

Manageable: Control decks such as Reno Warrior and Priest are difficult if they draw well, but feel a lot more beatable. Develop your board and don't fear board clears, you don't have the luxury to play around these things too much.

Good: Flood Paladin and Sludge Warlock/Pain Warlock, Rogue and Hunter are all okay, since you can control the board through battlecries, and if they get too low, your spells can seal the deal.

Final words:

This was the first deck I crafted after getting back to HS. I started with a version that had Puzzlemaster Khadgar but it was so not worth crafting the legendary. The weapon it summons rarely helps, and playing him breaks the Elemental synergy.

The cheapest versions are the best. You also may not need two Unchained Gladiator since you rarely run out of cards thanks to the battlecries and Synthesize

I also tried Sweetened Snowflurry but the cards it generates were rarely useful, so I took it out.
