Yes, you can consistently play The Azerite Snake in a Shudderwock deck.

No, you do not need to face a Warlock in order to do so!

Try this disgustingly fun Shudder deck that revolves around transforming into Lord Jaraxxus with the help of Zephrys the Great. This will change your Class in that current game from Shaman to Warlock. So when you excavate the 4th time you will get The Azerite Snake as a reward!

Here's a highlight of me performing this in Wild rank 2603

E.T.C. Band Manager sideboard:

A few tips in order to pull this combo off:

  • You need to play Zephrys the Great on a (mostly) empty board while you're able to play it the same turn or the turn afterwards. You can do this by playing Reno, Lone Ranger first to clear the enemy board and limit their board space. You can even completely skip their turn with the Sheriff Barrelbrim location after you dirty rat something from them on the Reno-limited board.
  • In EU at rank 3000 to 1000 I'm facing a lot of aggro decks like Even Shaman, Pirate Rogue, Shadow Priest among others. That's why I run a lot of board clears in order to survive. If you notice your rank has a lot of control or combo, feel free to interchange them with disruption cards like Mutanus the Devourer, Loatheb, Blademaster Okani and Boompistol Bully
  • Be sure to excavate a maximum of three times before you transform into Lord Jaraxxus to guarantee that your next Excavate or Shudder will add the Snake to your hand.

I hope you try out this combo, and please share with me your experience on ladder!
