This deck wins games by just staying alive. The opponent will lose very soon after their deck runs out because of Dew Process. We have 40 cards + Ambassador Faelin. And Sir Finley, Sea Guide can put back your hand into your (almost) empty deck if needed.
The "manathirst" cards are the key to this deck. Because they bennefit from ramping and most importantly, they present bonus value per mana. And since we are drawing alot of cards we need cheap cards AND value cards to keep the board. A match made in heaven.
MULLIGAN:
A great way to lose with this deck is if you do not draw any Dew Process or Nourish. Because of that they are the only nature spells in the deck so Widowbloom Seedsman will draw them out. And thus you have to hard mulligan for these 3 cards. Do not use Nourish for mana if you do not have any other draw yet (except when in trouble againt aggro). If you do have draw, ramp away.
Have you met only blood dk's and control priests in the ladder? Because this deck, like other slow druid decks, can only defeat other slow opponents.
I did get legend with this deck last month. i must admit it took me a while :) But i had alot of fun. Luckely the losses go pretty fast.
Against green DK it is very hard to win (and fast Pala). But againt the rest it is very possible. The best tactic againts those fast agressive decks is to ramp asap, even if it will cost you alot of hit points. And hope to survive the next few turns and than stabilize. If you try to fight too early it often goes wrong, since they refill the board anyway. We need those manathirst cards to be online.
Againtst non-aggro this deck is very stong i think. Against aggro, yeah you better play some other deck if your main care is winning the game. And since most players play the same boring aggro deck, yeah I can imagine the frustration :)
If you only played a few games, maybe give it another try. Sometimes you just lose 5 in a row. The green DK skill level is high among the player base!
I like to have fun, and this deck is fun to me.
Good :) I have been testing your deck in Platinum these last few days but with Aquatic Form, just so I can search/dredge for the needed cards. It works equally good at 2 mana and at 10/11 mana as well.
I think it is a solid deck with or without Faelin (depending on the meta) ;)
If you had Deathwing in, was it good? I didnt play alot with it.
I think Deathwing is very good in this deck, and the only real board wipe. I have been testing Kiri too: double cast Dew Process is good, or even double cast Plating or Aquatic if needed.
I removed this
Very underrated deck.
Not sure about Faelin and Sylvannas. Faelin is a 4 mana card that does nothing (especially vs aggro or midrange, where 4 mana should either ramp or remove/contest the board). Infuse (7) on Sylvannas seems near impossible to achieve in order to get value. How about Dredge?
Faelin does win me games vs decks like Blood Dk. I guess against all Prince 40 decks. Some of them are smart and try to beat me in the fatigue. Faeling is the reason they fail in trying. I guess you can argue that we face mainly aggro decks and thus should not play Faelin...
Sylvanas is at worst a 5/5 that destroys a minion. But yeah i recently added the card and havent played her much yet. So i cant tell how usefull she will turn out to be. I remember 1 game stealing an important minion. But maybe another card vs aggro could be better.
In conclsion, I like Faelin and think its very important vs 40 card deck. Sylvannas... can easy be another card i guess.
And yeah underrated indeed. Certainly in fun. And very dangerous for non-aggro decks.
Ah ya about the dredge. Maybe i will try that 0 mana card. We dont HAVE to draw the card if we dont want and it could be good in finding the ramp and draw.
Ok :). First game I played, Aquatic Form won me the game. Was against Mage. I was on 11 mana turn 10 and had not seen any Dew Process yet. I drew Aquatic Form and found a Dew Process. A few turns later I drew my 2nd Aquatic Form and found a very usefull card for that turn: Street Sweeper.
A random fun thing in that game was that my opponent discovered Call to the Stand from Prismatic Elemental. Calling out my Ambassador Faelin from hand, played an also discovered card Drown on it. Trying to save their ass from fatique for another turn. But I had an Objection! from his Suspicious Alchemist in hand and the Ambassador was their last minion :).
Soo, Sylvanas goes out at well as Deathwing. Aquatic forms are in.
Deathwing has won me a few games :) No one expects it.
