This is just a new handlock deck I came up with considering the power of the control and disruption tools from frozen throne. Played around 20~ ish games and came out with an 88% winrate so it seems to at least have some merits. The howlfiend treachery combo has won me a LOT of control games, so definitely search for and keep those cards in a control matchup. Against midrange or aggro just keep any cheap things minus the combo and try to live. Good luck and enjoy the deck!
Edit: Took out Altar of Fire for an Unstable Shadow Blast and Mutanus.
Demon Seed and Imp King Rafaam do not belong in this deck. The curse package is superior to whatever it is you're running here.
Howlfiend and Treachery is an old classic and could see a comeback in a better deck more suited to that playstyle. It's just a Hail Mary in this deck.
I'm aware that the curse or imp package is better but I'm a little tired of the boring meta stuff and wanted something new. Demon seed is a really good counter to the curses themselves and can mulliganed away in aggro games. And as far as Imp King Rafaam the whole point is to resurrect the dark alley pact demons which count as imps.
I also don't really see it as a hail mary, considering how much tapping this deck does it doesn't feel to painful to hold onto a couple of cards to have the opportunity to gut the enemy hand.
Demon Seed works quite well for me against freeze mage with their deathrattle skeletons. Procc them for quest progress and you are done in no time.
Rafaam also is another great late game wave of minions. And you dont need to infuse him! Can also be paired with bran for full board.
And finally, treachery and howlfiend ...saved me alot of games! My opponents discarded a lot of their Denathrius :P
The only thing im looking at to change in future is drop 1 or both of altars of fire...for maybe a theotar and a demon or sunwell for testing
Yeah I agree about the altars definitely, more of a pet card of mine rather than the right choice. I would consider Mutanus as well in that slot.
Yeah I was confused why the quest was in this deck in the first place, until I mached a curse warlock. Basically a free win, and every other machups you can just muligan it away. Love the deck, I was always a fan of Control/Handlocks, and this is just perfect The feeling when you discard a 40/40+ denathrius from your opponent with the help of Howlfiend... Priceless. My hands are REALLY itching to just slap in a Mo'arg for Gul'dan value. But too much greed is unhealthy I suppose... I'll still try it LUL.
mediocre deck in a meta that encourages proactive play rather than reactive. even if you stabilize the board you'll lose to sire or other finishers. It was fun, though. worth trying in casual or at low ranks
This deck can be fairly proactive itself with Dark Alley pact and Shadow Waltz (especially if discounted off the 3 drop). And as far as Sire goes I don't really know what to say. Your statement applies to any control deck, yes I lose to a huge Denathrius so does everyone.
Fun deck.
Druid doesn't like it when other classes have fun it would seem.
Fun but like most fuck decks... completely useless on ladder.
Sounds like some silver 10 cope to me
Absolute fun!
:)
The new spell might be worth considering for handlock to fill the hand?
Maybe, haven't tried Sunwell much yet.
the deck is amazingly great and fun :D
lost 1 or 2 games due to totally terrible RNG but is fun fun!
Hahaha glad to hear it, enjoy.
