As per title, this deck is tuned for a control / otk meta, where your board is cleared very often.

Cryostasis is played on a totem you want to preserve (usually on turn 2), or right before cloning with Splitting Axe. Turn 2 cryo is quite powerful against aggro decks to preserve a board presence, and to protect important totems (that would not attack anyways that turn) from AOE.

Try to use Theotar, the Mad Duke to get rid of necessary combo pieces and give them a Totemic Might.
