i was one of the top 50 players pre release, didnt play that much, right now i play ten times more and my win rate is like 85% +.
made it the second time in the top 50 europe
this deck counters nearly all decks and classes.

what about the last mage nerf? is cone of cold still worth taking?
I find that it's useful to have at least one big creature whose soul purpose is ending the game. Against many decks you will neutralize all their threats but be left with none of your own and damage from spells may not be enough to end the game before your opponent draws into more gas. You can play something as cheesy as the 2/7 Berserker with enrage and start smacking them first for 5, then 8, then 11, and if they don't deal with it they are dead. If they do deal with it they are probably in burn range. Of course, you could use any fatty. Azure drake and mana Wyrm are both potential finishers. They are just way easier to remove and have a target painted on them as soon as they hit the field. Mana Wyrm also isn't much of a threat when drawn late.
I built this deck, but I don't think it's that good. Made 2 modifications, Oozes instead of faeries (3/2 for 2, not a huge change and game changer against warriors, and some paladins and rogues) and a frost nova instead Thalnos. The strategy is really straight forward problem is that minions with +1 spell power are weaker than normal, I got controlled ALWAYS, people don't mind to sacrifice 2 or 1 lesser minions to get rid of the +1 spell power, so, no damage can be be done ever since I always seem to lose all minions, even pyroblasts get useless. On early game when I play the kobolds and the mana wirms always get destroyed easily and most deck control cards are useless without spell power, on midgame I'm in disadvantage of minions against aggro, and a mage, drake or a water elemental get super controlled by lesser minions and by late game I'm more concerned of damage and always get overwhelmed by high cost minions, sometimes I even have to waste a pyroblast just to survive a couple of turns.because enemy is still above 20. And I started last Sunday so I'm still matching against basic decks.
Edit: made a test and the guy before me was right with the rate: 70% (Lost 7 won 3) loss rate at unranked (no way I get it to ranked)

Not good deck for rated game.
Winn most in unranked, but in ranked it has been like 7 loss 3 win at 3 star diamond.
guess wouldnt work in that deck, what u mean is like the best example it could work, but what happens when
u draw only him, 4 mana for a 3/3 gets easy removed by alot of 2 mana cost cards from many opponents
u draw only a iceblock, useless card pretty much
even when u can get the combo going, this deck has not many silence targets ( only thalnos/manawyrm), so high chance it gets silenced/hex/sheep/execute/shadow word death/ etc etc...
also u have too cut 4 cards, maybe ogremage dont know what else, but ogremage fits in really well and synergize with alot of cards and is even a 4/4 for 4 mana.
u would have to make a another deck for that, thing about this deck is u can use many of the cards in alot of situations u can use 2-3 cards to combo with and get more value. i like it when cards work with each other and has usefullness even when u play them alone.

Started playing this deck at bronze today and I am now Plat 1. I substituted a few cards and have been running Antionidas as well. I feel like he has won me almost every game, especially if i go 2nd. Hold my coin, get to 7, drop him, coin, 1 drop. Next turn swing for 12, if he is out still the next turn will be 12 more, or i usually have a pyro in my hand by that time too.
Warlocks have given me the most trouble though. I played 3 in a row that played heavy aggro and every turn they pumped out about 3-4 creatures. I eventually ran out of CC and lost, although it was close most games.
aggro decks are one of the easy matches, u can trade very well in turn 4-5 with aoe if u got the cards, vs warlocks just trade every turn if possible, if u get the right cards trade 2v3 2v4 , they will use 90% of the time the heroy ability and nuke them self low. the deck has strong midgame and a good early game aggro decks have to deal with it, if the warlock is low enough finish him off with spells/minions.
Love this deck. I'm completely new to the game and card games in general and I managed to hit 3 star diamond with ease. I swapped out the faerie dragons for some oozes as I found I had a lot of trouble dealing with all the pally/warrior weapons. The only class that I seemed to lose to though was priest... then again I seem to get pretty unlucky with my PyroBlast getting stolen.. ;p
dont like the ooze, faerie dragon is realy awesome u can do alot early dmg vs many classes, let them hit ur minions, they take dmg thats good^^
No Sorcerer's Apprentice? Is there any reason why you don't use it?
swapped them out for the faerie dragons, also sorcs apprentice was like only good when i got an arcane intellect and they die very fast.
I currently have everything except the pyros and bloodmage. Any good replacements?
bloodmage maybe with a blizzard or novice
one pyro maybe with ragnaros, dont know what u could swap for a second pyro, deck realy needs 2 pyros
malygos is too expensive, you couldnt play a real spell with him in one turn, also at 9 mana u mainly play a pyro or fireball + x . he gives 5 spellpower, u will only need that much maybe for a fireball or a frostbolt, all the other aoe spells and pyro scaling enough with +1 spellpower minions. its not like ur opponent has at this time 4 creatures out with 4-6hp, ur a control/burst deck, at turn 9 maybe 1-2 minions are on the field and u would win anyway in the next 1-2 rounds, with fireball,pyro,minions.
antonidas, gets too much counterd in the current meta and if a priest steals him ur done^^. also doesnt fit in the deck u would need to safe some lowcost spells and play him on turn 8/9/10, but u will need these spells before u play him 90% of the time. hes better in a secret deck with counterspell etc.
i tested ragnaros alot, hes ok , but didnt liked him that much
dont want to get a too expensive mana deck
Great Deck, went from Gold 1 to Gold 2 in 5 Games with 5 Wins. And tried two unranked games. I won both, too. :)
PS: Stats after 22 Games: Platinum 3 Star 21 Wins = 95% Winrate
I'll try this and sub in Ysera for Thalnos, any recommendations from anyone on what I can use instead of (cards I don't have):
2x Pyroblast
1x Cone of Cold
1x Fairie Dragon
1x Mana Wyrm
u need all of these cards, i think only thalnos could be replaced,
2x pyro is for finish of course, u cant run this deck without it, u can but the deck is build around compete in early,mid,late have good board clear and strong finisher with spells.
cone of cold drags the game out or clear the board
faerie dragon is strong in the current meta, u can do alot dmg to the opponent, if u play well, so its easier finish him off with ur spells
same as manawyrm
all the cards work for each other, wouldnt say its a beginner deck u should know what hand u keep, what deck ur opponent plays, u must make the best decissions with ur cards u have.
friend of mine played in like 26 games from zero to 3 star master with it
just finished today 418 ranked wins and lvl 60 with mage, my winrate was the last games higher than before would say im around 87% now.
Just bought 2 packs to get the Golden Gelbin Mekkatorque, got another Mana Wyrm and Cone of Cold, so those are covered, I think the 2 legendaries and a end-game minion will be enough to cover some high end-game damage in the meantime, I've pretty much got almost everything now except for the 2x Pyroblast, 1x Azure Drake and 1x Faerie Dragon, which I should be able to craft one or two of with the cards I don't want that I got from the packs.
*EDIT* Just crafted the other Faerie Dragon, so all I'm missing now are the 2x Pyroblasts :)
