Pretty fun deck that is surprisingly good, on high rolls the deck is pretty nuts.
Mulligan:
Mulligan hard for Shroud of Concealment and Reconnaissance if you have one of these look for Preparation, Blackwater Cutlass can be traded for a turn 2 Cocealment. Consider backstab for agroo DH or pirate warrior.
Ideal play order examples:
Concealment version:
- T1: Preparation + Shroud of Concealment
- T2: Reconnaissance
- T3: Ideally a random generated 5 drop
- T4: Ambassador Faelin
- T5: Vanndar Stormpike + Gone Fishin'
- T6-8: Discounted Colossals
- T7+: Contraband Stash as finisher
Reconnaissance version
- T1: Preparation + Reconnaissance
- T2: Ideally a random generated 4 drop
- T3: Shroud of Concealment
- T4: Ambassador Faelin
- T5: Vanndar Stormpike + Gone Fishin'
- T6-8: Discounted Colossals
- T7+: Contraband Stash as finisher
Other Tips:
Swordfish + any trade card tutors a colossal.
Deck runs a lot of damage cards, the opponent can get blown out by unexpected stab x2 + tooth x2 + weapon = 20 damage.
Shadowstep [/card] a colossal makes you summon another colossal minion with [card]Contraband Stash .
Shadowstep [/card] Vanndar is not as greddy as it looks because [card]Shroud of Concealment draws 1 mana colossals.
Shadowstep Faelin is not that great and often feels like overkill and tempo loss unless you are going for the very long game.
Matchups
So far deck is doing pretty good against mech mage, mech paladin, priest decks, curse warlock, and has problem against fast decks like aggro DH, quest Hunter and pirate warrior.
Weakness
Consistency, the deck really needs the core cards early and sometimes luck is not on your side still vanndar blow up is quite common.
This deck actually works well for me. I removed Azsharan Vessel to put Shadowstep back in.
Very good deck! I have been trying something similar in the past week, but this list is so much more efficient. The only card I do not see worth playing in this deck, as it doesn't advance the deck's gameplan or win con is Azsharan Vessel.
Maybe two copies of Yoink! instead?
I think you maybe right Azsharan Vessel is kinda iffy I been testing yoink and and paralytic poison to make weapons a safer removal tools, also queen azshara is strong but considerably lowers consistency of vanndar.
Currently testing with a Sprint instead of Shadowstep.
