What was the update to the deck?
also a little short guide would help ;)
You can see the latest changes right underneat the decklist. I just changed 3 cards again. I put in the 3 mana watchpost. It's GREAT against those top tier minion decks like warrior and mech mage. Also added Tar Creeper. Very sollid card that i am very happy to see in my opening hand. And later on a taunt can save a game sometimes. Also went again for the Dragonbane Shot instead of the weapon that does about the same. The weapon in better tempo since you end op with a 2-charge weapon on the board. But the drawback is that often against big pressure you cant affort that life loss. And also Dragonbane Shot is a spell which helps with naga's. Took out Brann cause its not really needed. And is cluncky to play. And we want to play that curve as much as possible. Same goes for the Twinbow Terror Coil. Also out cause it's too fancy :).
And about the guide... I am currently rank 3 full stars. Won my last 3 games in a row with the new changes. Watch post was BIG in 2 of the games. (both watchposts)
A few spell tips:
Dont be affraid to use your coin early when you see a nice curve. No need to safe it for a big card.
Try to make use of all your mana every turn. Unless something is too important ofcourse.
Trade minions pretty much always unless you have that leathal. We win by not losing the board. Constant pressure is the game.
Mulligan for a playable curve. Dont think about draw in mulligan (I often find myself playing Amalgam of the Deep on an empty board in early game). The trick with these kind of pressure decks is to build it just right so you always have stuff to play but not too much. So the mana goes into the board instead of your hand, but you dont run out of fuel. So think Tempo. Value comes naturally :)
Keep Reno only against true aggro decks like face hunter and demonhunter. Against pirates and mechs and stuff like that i often find that reno is not that great to keep. Its more important to get control of the board so you want a good curve to play.
The Hero card is good to keep against all decks. I was thinking maybe too slow against something like quest hunter. But maybe it even helps there. Maybe too dangerous to keep againt super fast decks if you dont have your early play in hand as well. Its great against mech/pirate. Pretty much a boardclear on turn 6.
Rat King I have to test more to really know. But i guess its a good keep against slow decks and a bad one against fast decks. Maybe only worth against real slow decks. Same goes for Queen Azshara. Good card to keep if you think you will get the time to play them.
These ones I always keep (in general):
-Naga's Pride (real strong card at early game. Makes me gladly play that amalgam on 2)
-All neutral 1,2,3 drops. Only Treasure guard I am not yet sure about.
-4,5 mana cards if you already have the cards in hand for the turns until then.
I think there are not really bad matchups. Maybe druid in theory. But that's most often a slauhterfest untill the end. They win if they can have a good Kazukuz ending. Or sometimes they have a 20+ Ivus, the forest lord. Tip: Keep in mind you can discover with School Teacher that 1 mana spell that makes spells do poison dmg this turn. It can win the game against druid if you expect Ivus. Maybe Naga mage is a bad matchup. Yeah i guess the general bad matchups would be combo decks. Decks that dont require a board setup to kill.
I am sure this can go to Legend. Probably not tier 1 since you sacrifce alot for 1 Reno Jackson. But if having fun on the road to legend is what you want, this is it. MAY THE BOARD BE ALWAYS YOURS!
Changed Tar Creeper back out again for Mutanus.
Againt Kazakuz decks Creeper is super bad and Mutanus super good.
Changed it up again. Big guys out. More consistancy.
