Introduction:

Priest is the weakes, least stable class in classic mode. It has problems with finishing off opponents and I is really hard to deal with 4 attack minions. But if you learn to play aruond your opponents possibilities, it can be super fun and revarding to play.

Strenghts/Weaknesses:

This deck is pretty stable, reliable for classic priest deck. It has solid midgame and really good late game. However not the strongest early game. So if you are really unlucky and you draw no removals during first four turns you stand no chance against aggro decks. But that is the biggest problem of this deck. It is really good versus warriors and druids.

Win condition:

Nothing fancy here, just take over control during midgame and finish your opponent in the later midgame/lategame with your minions. You can use Wild Pyromancer, Circle of Healing, Lightwarden combo to build up some interesting damage. And ofcourse there is Ragnaros because he is just too good to not be there, if you play him at the right time it can even win the game for you. Dont underestimate his power.

How to play:

Don't play you Clearics on first turn, they would probably die. Keep them to later turns and play them with Circle of Healing if possible. That will draw you ton of cards and give you many new options. Don't be afraid to tank some damage with your face against aggro decks. I would say that it's totally fine to take around 10-15 damage during firs five turns, but then you need to clear the board using Auchenai+Cicle of Healing combo, or Pyromancer combo or Holy Nova and really take over the control. There is a lot of card draw in this deck, so if you are running out of cards, be careful not to fatigue your self.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Don't throw away your cleric during first turns.
  • Be careful not to fatigue yourself with too much card draw.
  • Try to bait out opponents removals with your smaller minions and then play Ragnaros.
  • Against control warriors always save Ooze for Gorehowl.
