Ow boy, this deck is fun!
- Wanna have 13 mana while your opponent has 6?
- Wanna be able to survive Owl combos with billion armor?
- Wanna play multiple Cthuns super consistently?
- Wanna surprise your opponents with sudden lethal by hitting them 12+ in the face by hand?
- Wanna be able to play up to 60 mana per turn?
- Wanna quit turn 1 when paladins play their trogg?
Well, this deck does all of this! I have not enjoyed STD hearthstone this much in years. THis deck is a blessing.
Edit: removed innervate and 1 viper for 2 resising pouch. Can get you Alex or extra Yshaarj or even Yogg
Cards & combos:
- Capture Coldtooth Mine - gets you Yshaarj, so that you dont mill him with Fungal Fortunes. Also tutors Chtun.
- Moonlit Guidance - you can use it early to look for your Wildheart Guff. Also, once you complete Chtun, this card allows you to play multiple Chtuns
- Wildheart Guff - there were many laughs on this b4 the release. But this card is a star and enables the whole thing. ALWAYS keep it in mulligan. Remember, it hero power gives you 1 full mana crystal. So its basically 1 mana ramp.
- Forest Warden Omu - allows you play above 20 mana in a turn
- Solar Eclipse + Cenarion Ward your bread and butter. First you ramp supers fast, then use this combo to regain health and get back on board.
- Cthun - your main wincondition (but not only). Also helps you to survive the mid-game, giving you targeted removal and AOE that druid otherwise lacks.
- Y'Shaarj, the Defiler - Think of this card as a better Alex. 10 mana gain 12 armor and hit for 8. Allows you sometimes kill warlocks that may be low on HP
Matchups:
Good against every deck, except paladins. They crush you completely due to many divine shields & freaking trogg....
Owl warlocks are 50/50. You have tons of armor and 2 weapon removals and you make them difficult to dump their hand.
Try it, guys! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Good luck!
The meta has changed since the recent patch. That being said, this deck needs changed. I can't win one game unless I get Wildheart Guff by turn five. And even if I do, it's still close unless I get the armor cards.
I like this deck but I replaced Cenarion Ward with Best in Shell. With Owl Warlock gone from the meta you don't really need all that armour and Shell comes earlier and has the same defensive synergy with Solar Eclipse (plus Tradable is useful). Y'shaarj seems outdated as well.
Nice deck otherwise though, climbing up from D5 with it.
Delighted you're having fun with the deck but I'm 0-10 and I'm kinda done with it, having just lost to Quest Priest of all things. You just can't beat any aggro draw without getting lucky on 8-drop summons and the C'thun win-condition is slow as molasses.
Why no Ivus, the Forest Lord? Pretty decent with 20 mana…
Not a good deck. Lost 3/3 games so far in bronze. Cant seem to draw Gruff and cant consistently ramp without losing draw.
Edit: 4th loss in a row. Fun deck yes if you like losing.
Perhaps you were unlucky, perhaps you mulligan incorrectly. Or maybe you faced 4 paladins? Anyway, 4 games is not a representative stats to say the deck is bad. My WR is way over 50% .Low Silver to R4 diamond in 3 days . This is not a simple deck to pilot, it takes time to understand when you can ramp, where to clear and where to push face
Hey, it's bronze rank after all! There are many dumb netdecks which are somehow extremely effective at carelessly punching your face to death.
Some decks become much more effective past bronze ranks. I can't explain why this happens.
Hey all!
Feels good to kill warlocks easily I had such a nice game where I just played viper on curve destroying their weapon then got garrosh from Cenarion Ward into his concede. Feels nice to play overall even though I struggled with aggro but that makes sense. Always gotta enjoy the decks where you have to think a bit to win :D
I made a showcase of the deck if someone wants to see the it in action, it is linked bellow! Thanks and have a nice day everyone
Great, man! Thanx for the video! It is exactly what I am talking about. After some games, you get to understand the mechanics better and the deck plays better and better (only hard counter is paladin). Some moments with this deck are just priceless!
Any advice for swaping Forest Warden Omu and Speaker Gidra?
I managed to destroy both card for dust because I thought they are in Wild haha
Omu is pretty core, but I guess you could either run 2 Resisable pouch or 1 Alex and 1 3/2 panda that returns minion to hand. It is pretty good to get extra Cthun , Yshaarj or Alex. Can be deadly vs warlocks or priests
This is pretty good! I don't have Gidra so I put in a Resizing Pouch to get a bail out when I need it, and it's worked quite well.
Yes, that also works, I did run Resizing Pouch in my early versions
Why not yogg instead of yshaarj?
You can of course have Yogg, but Yogg is ultra inconsistent, It doesnt guaranteed give you 12 armor and deal 8 dmg- that is important vs Warlocks. But yes, it can absolutely be fun :)
