Version 2.0 Update! After some playtesting myself and gathering feedback from those of you in the comments, I've targeted the following weaknesses of the initial 1.0 version: how the deck struggled properly contest the board, and could not easily clear larger threats. To do this, I have removed 7 cards: 2x Feral Rage, 2x Pathmaker, 2x Dire Frostwolf, and 1x Rustrot Viper. In their place, I have added the following:
2x Druid of the Reef: A solid turn 1 play that can also act as 3 damage removal at any stage. And though not naturally a beast, the two forms it takes are, and can thus combo with Heart of the Wild.
2x Vibrant Squirrel: A decent turn 1 play that can fill out your mana curve in the midgame, and combos with all best synergies. The acorns extend the benefits of Heart of the Wild's wide buff aura, but even more importantly can be used to clear minions with the newly added Animated Broomstick.
2x Animated Broomstick: usable at any stage of the game, this is optimally used with Venomous Scorpid and Vibrant Squirrel's acorns.
1x Lunar Eclipse: Useful removal at any stage, this pairs well with the numerous 2 mana spells, and can pair with Eye of C'Thun and Heart of C'Thun. (Only reason I don't have 2 is limited deck space). If you are having trouble with Warlocks, you may consider putting Rustrot Viper back in instead.
Goal: You want to use beasts to aggressively contest the board and smack your opponent in the face, while passively assembling C'thun, the Shattered.
Mulligan and Strategy Against Aggro & Quest Warrior/Warlock & Any Paladin
You want Druid of the Reef, Vibrant Squirrel, Clawfury Adept, Shan'do Wildclaw, and potentially Heart of the Wild. Choose the 1/3 Taunt turtle form for the extra HP to survive long enough for Heart of the Wild. Jerry Rigg Carpenter is not the best card to keep but is still an OK turn 2 play. Don't ever keep Wildheart Guff in your opening hand, you can draw him passively.
Mulligan and Strategy Against Control & Quest Mage & Phylactery Warlock
Vibrant Squirrel, Jerry Rigg Carpenter, Capture Coldtooth Mine, Shan'do Wildclaw, and Wildheart Guff are your best cards to start with. You want to get Acorns shuffled and C'Thun pieces drawn as soon as possible (you also don't want to draw the squirrel later in the game, best to play them early).
Outside of those C'Thun Pieces, you want to use your resources wisely. For example, only play Venomous Scorpid when you are sure it will kill something big, so waiting to combo with an Animated Broomstick is ideal (the poisonous is often more important than the spell it generates). Save at least 1 copy of Moonlit Guidance until after C'Thun, the Shattered is assembled to try and generate a copy into your hand, this works especially well with Solar Eclipse to double your chances on getting what you need.
Deck Combos
The deck has Wildheart Guff and the 4 C'Thun pieces as the highest costing cards at 5 Mana, meaning they can be reliably drawn with Capture Coldtooth Mine. Wildheart Guff also helps accelerate your card draw per turn with the new Hero Power, not to mention the +5 armor. I have found it is actually best to play Guff when you have 6 available mana rather than 5, because you gain a full mana crystal when played, leaving you with 2 mana to work with. At the very least, you can Hero Power with that 2 mana.
Solar Eclipse can double any spell, but is most effective with: Capture Coldtooth Mine, Moonlit Guidance, and any of the C'Thun pieces besides Maw of C'Thun.
Jerry Rig Carpenter can draw and split Capture Coldtooth Mine. If played on Turn 2, you can in a pinch use lower costing draw to try and find either Druid of the Reef [/card] or [card]Vibrant Squirrel . If played on Turn 4, use the higher cost draw to find and play a 5 mana card next turn.
Moonlit Guidance is best used either at 2 Mana to find either Shan'do Wildclaw or Heart of the Wild (only if you played a Beast Turn 1), use at 7 mana to draw 2 copies of any card in the deck, or at any point after C'Thun, the Shattered has been assembled.
Animated Broomstick can be played with Venomous Scorpid, Clawfury Adept, and drawn Acorns.
Problems You May Encounter
The armor gain of Deathrattle Priest may pose a problem if you are unable to kill with 30 damage. Even if you generate a copy of C'Thun, the Shattred, they can still play the Xyrella Hero card. Not impossible to beat, just hard.
Phylactery Warlock can potentially assemble their combo faster than you do, so you will need to assemble C'Thun, the Shattred as fast as possible. The aggro strategy is less likely to work because they have so much removal, but you can still try that route too.
Quest Warrior is unfair, try to beat them down with beasts before they kill you.
Against Paladin, save your Venomous Scorpid [/card]+ A[card]nimated Broomstick for the best removal moment.
Thank you
I hope that these changes help better your experience playing this deck style, best of luck!

You cannot imagine how much fun times you brought me with this deck! It was a bit costy cuz i didnt have any of the legendaries but im happy and thats fine with me. I've made some replacements though because the meta requires weapon removal and silience(for those pesky paladins and hoot hooters(warlocks xD)). Ive added 1x Rusty Viper/1x Royal Librarian/1x Yogg Fate variant. The reason i have Yogg is pure fun but i was actually surprised of how many games that card saved me (eating a full buffed paladin board for example, juicy :P). To fit them i removed 1x Hearth of the wild (mostly dead card in hand so i thought why not cut it to 1 copy)/1x Vibrant Squirel(other cards were too important to replace so that was what came to mind for me) and 1x Clawfury Adept( same reason with squirel). I have some testing to do but so far im happy with the current version.
Oh that's so awesome! I'm so happy people are having fun and are inspired by my deck idea^^. Interesting that you added Yogg to the deck, since that potentially delays finding your C'Thun pieces with Capture Coldtooth Mine, but tha definitely gives you some extra power in your back pocket :)
I did actually experiment with Royal Librarian to deal with Paladin, but I found Venomous Scorpid + Animated Broomstick got the job done against those big divine shield minions.
Hello everyone!
Wanted to play something with Wildheart Guff and came across your deck. Didnt have cthun so had to craft it as well but didnt mind it considering its a fun card so why not.
Unfortunately didnt have too much success with it, only managed to win one game kinda luckily against a zoo warlock. On the other hand I ran into pretty refined decks - for example quest warrior :X god I hate that shit or a quest mage... Overall felt like the beast package is not that significant.
Anyway if anyone is interested in a gameplay video you can check it bellow, maybe u will find the mistakes that lost me these games
Hi there, thanks so much for all your feedback! I never expected people to like my experiment so much, so I want to try and give this deck the best shot I can. I watched your video and left a comment on my thoughts, but basically I'm going to try a few things to help with the early board state. In particular I'm thinking Animated Broomstick might help when paired with Clawfury Adept and Venomous Scorpid.
Amor Vendor and Druid of the Reef are other cards that can help an early board as a 1/3 minion, and still be useful in the later game.
Vibrant Squirrel was another minion initially considered because of the beast tag and how both Capture Coldtooth Mine and Wildheart Guff can potentially draw into the acorns. Buuut he is a terrible card to topdeck on his own, which is why I cut the card initially. Still, with Animated Broomstick he might be better than I thought.
I will hopefully post a more refined version soon!
Is Shan'do Wildclaw rly that important? I mean should I craft her for deck or there is good sub for her?
She's been quite handy when combined with Park Panther, 5 attack continues to be a breakpoint for minion HP. Plus if you draw her late you can still copy a Park Panther at 7 mana.
In theory, you can run the deck without her, but I included beasts like Encumbered Pack Mule specifically for the +1/+1 buff. Without Shan'do Wildclaw, you might consider running different cards for the early game.
Hope that helps!
I've gotten close to winning several matches, getting the opponents typically to around <15 health, but I can't seem to get it to synergize the way the guide says it should. Any tips or help?
Hi there, yeah I've been having some trouble closing out games as well. Ideally, you want to mulligan for your early beasts and the the pirates, so you have board presence. Don't be afraid to use Solar Eclipse with Feral Rage to get either 8 attack or 16 armor as you need it.
In theory, you only need to hold onto one copy of Moonlit Guidance to search for a fully assembled C'Thun, which will give you an extra copy. However, the problem I've been encountering is Druid's natural weakness to board clears. If your beasts don't stick on the board, you will be spending your resources trying to deal with you opponent's board rather than assembling your long term win condition.
I hope that helps? Even as the deck's creator I'm still learning how best to play it lol. One matchup I've really struggled with is Paladin, this deck is not good at dealing with big minions. I'm considering running Royal Librarian just to deal with those buffed minions and deathrattles.
Yeah, I hear you. I decided to try and run another druid deck while waiting for your reply. Using a token druid, I've been able to do quite well so far. The main matchups it had troubles with is against certain warlocks and rogues.
You have Moonlit Guidance, you dont need Brewmaster mate :)
Lol well brewmaster is still useful enough to combo with other battlecry minions. Still, valid point. :)
Great deck! Midrange against aggro decks and a control tool against control decks! I really like to build decks around all archetypes!
Thanks man! Yeah I like building flexible decks that people might not expect ;) . Let me know how it works for you^^.
Pretty good! It's been fun to play! I've Captured Coldtooth Mine so many times I basically live there. The only card that seems to clutter up my hand a few times has been Heart of the Wild. It hasn't been too useful.
Hey thanks man! You're the second person to mention they replaced the Heart of the Wild with other cards lol. I initially imagined it had a home as a 3-mana "Blessing of Kings" on your 2-drop, or as a big boost to either half of Dire Frostwolf, but I haven't had a chance to actually test anything due to my 9-5 job lmao.
Thank you very much for the feedback, I'll keep this in mind once I finally get the deck assembled.
Very good idea. In day one i'll try this.
I think that i add Youthful Brewmaster and Living Seed(Rank 1) for 2x Heart of the Wild.
Thank you! I haven't had the chance to try out my own deck yet due to work, but I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind :) . I originally wanted to have Living Seed (Rank 1) because of the additional card draw, so if Heart of the Wild doesn't feel good enough I'll likely add in those exact two cards to replace them.
