Hi Everyone

This deck is Rogue Chef, another homebrew from your homeboy Corkthomas.

The underlying theme is "cooking" and "hunger." I noticed that Scabbs has a chef portrait so I figured why not give it a try. I mixed it with my previous pirate decks with similar infinite mechanism, but switched over from pirates to food-related battlecries. Each card has been carefully hand selected and I'll make some honorable mentions too.

This is a deck that very well can win, but might never make it to legend.

How it Works

Miss Direction

This deck is a Maestra of the Masquerade misdirection. You start as another class, and eventually create infinite copies of key cards that can be win conditions on their own. It has substantial early-game, and taunt/heal-locked late game with the Sword of a Thousand Truths as an impending threat.

My brother described this deck as cursed and hurting his brain when he spectated one of my first plays. I want to give my least sincere apologies to any priests, horrified when they enter the "mind" of this deck. You might be facing a warrior and realize it's actually a rogue on turn 8.

Rogue Infinite Engine (ft. N'Zoth tha Corrupt0r)

The rogue infinite engine is when you copy Lab Recruiter with Gang Up or Togwaggle's Scheme in order to make infinite copies of whatever minion you want, most notably N'Zoth, the Corruptor. This will bring back taunt deathrattles such as Khartut Defender and Death's Head Cultist.

Valeera the Hollow is also good for certain value combos such as with Barista Lynchen who has one of my favorite voice lines in the game. You can play her twice with N'Zoth, the Corruptor for two copies of N'Zoth and one copy of herself.

Food = Health Points

In gaming, food has always led to better health. This deck has a wide selection of battlecry healing that won't interfere with the deathrattle N'Zoth pool, including Reno Jackson since the deck is singleton. I made sure to include as many food/cooking-related cards as I could:

- Refreshment Vendor -- Friendly card that heals both players.
- Spice Bread Baker -- which is a reference I only understood after playing WoW Burning Crusade Classic, and excellent healing
- Hungry Dragon -- because it's hungry, and can mess up your opponent's death pool for big priests which aren't as rampant anymore.
- Witch's Cauldron -- Random shaman cards? Yes please. I know this is bordering on alchemy, but it's really fun to play a bunch of shaman cards before the opponent even knows they're playing against a rogue.
- Barista Lynchen -- No restaurant is complete without a good barista, amirite? Best voice line.
- Elwynn Boar and Hog Rancher -- Pork
Savory Deviate Delight -- Fish
- Gluttonous Ooze -- Anti-weapon tech with armor upside and gluttony in the name.

Card Draw

There is plenty of draw including:

- Coldlight Oracle There are two ways of tutor-drawing this too.
- Murloc Tastyfin which fishes out both other murlocs, and returns with N'zoth.
- Gadgetzan Auctioneer (which works with all of the 0-cost spells that I include because they're gold in my collection)
- The Curator (which targets the boar, and potentially the murloc that draws the other two. )

RNG Outs

The deck has some RNG ways to have wildly different games each time you play the deck:

- Pandaren Importer -- this deck has so little removal that this will usually fish out Coerce or Assassinate... or who know what else? Also she draws from your class's card pool. Meaning that if you haven't revealed your rogue class, she'll discover from the random new one.
- Vanessa VanCleef -- Did your opponent play the perfect quest on turn 1? Play this on turn 2! I haven't had any real slam dunk moments with this yet but I suspect it's a nice way to steal things. You can make a lot of copies of her, like any other minion in the deck.
- Shifter Zerus -- It could be anything, even a highlight waiting to happen!

A Few Things to Consider

N'Zoth needs to be activated by killing off Khartut Defender early. Otherwise you can't really go infinite as safely and healthy. He's your best defense against aggro styled decks for total boardlock. I've won against big decks like this. I've also lost when Khartut refused to show up.

Perhaps copy the healing cards instead of N'Zorth early on and then move onto him. The deck is designed so that any card can be thrown into the infinite mix. Need a ton of Elwynn boars? go for it. Have to copy your entire opponent's deck? Vanessa's got your back.

Going infinite does deactivate Reno, and I didn't include Myra's Unstable Element to reactivate it. Whatever, you can play it in the early game or just have a vanilla 4/6. It's not vital to the deck at this point, but still very helpful.

Also the usual milling tips:
- Don't give mages all their burn
- Know when to aggro

Special/Honor Mentions

Cards that I would have liked to include, but didn't make the *cut.*

- Chef Nomi -- Nomi is an obvious one, but I'd have to find two deck slots; one for him, and one for Myra's Unstable Element which is the only way that I know of to activate Nomi after having started infinite.

Banana Vendor -- I found a good deal of banana cards that would definitely have a nice positive impact on the milling aspect while giving me tiny spells to combo with. I'm currently looking away from it since I feel like this warrants an infinite banana deck of its own... Maybe I'll add King Mukla since he's a good standalone milling tool, especially with Curator.

Soup Vendor and Ice Cream Peddler -- both of these are solid flavor contenders. I bet every so often I would find a way to freeze a minion for the healing value, as a rare RNG occurrence. Soup Vendor I would consider if I felt like I needed even more draw, or early game cards. So far the draw feels ok, these decks tend to overdraw if you're not careful.

Gurubashi Chicken or Angry Chicken-- I wanted to include a chicken to cover all the major meats. The joke behind the deck initially was that I'm cooking the boar. So why not cook other animals? but then... I ran into too many possibly edible minions and had to cut down on card picks. It lost out against Savory Deviate Delight although that's been a bit more trouble than it seems to be worth at low rank...

- Golakka Glutton and Gluttonous Ooze -- These also felt right with the Gluttony flavor, or one of the crabs since chefs also like seafood. I would trade the Death's Head Cultist with the Ooze if weapons were an issue.

- Elise the Trailblazer and Brann Bronzebeard -- I included 2/4 adventurers because I ran out of space. I think the Un'goro pack would have been really fun to include. Maybe it's better than the Hungry Dragon and then I could take The Curator out too.

- Nozdormu the Eternal -- I swap out Reno Jackson sometimes because the deck does have a lot of healing already and I do wish I could play this deck is "speed chess" mode with the 15 min timer. Nobody has ever returned the favor though :/ Another contender for this deck slot is Rotten Applebaum since I want a double tech for Khartut Defender.

Anyway that's It.

Thanks for reading, let me know if I missed any cooking-related cards!
I'd love to hear/read everyone's comments.
