Hi there,
Deck intro time (cheers Mark Mix, my hero!): Trick your opponent into believing you are a normal elemental shaman, to finish them off with evolve tactics. Got from diamond 10 to legendary with this deck, which actually doesn't mean a thing I guess.
Sidenotes:
- Replace three cards with Bolner Hammerbeak, Pit Master and Y'Shaarj, the Defiler for an extra OTK option (you know the drill). But I have cut these three cards, because in this meta you will never see 10 mana and the cards were just clutching my hand.
- Also liked to add Far Watch Post and Cult Neophyte. But they were also not doing the trick for me, so.. guess that's all folks!
Have a nice day and stay salty! (cheers Zeddy!)
10-0 loses so far. Shaman is unplayable in the current meta.
I actually just hit legend with this deck last night but i did replace a couple of cards. I took out the Dunk Tanks and the Earth Revenant to add in Al’Akir, a lightning storm, and an Auctionhouse Gavel. The lightning storm is insanely useful against aggro druids/face hunters and the Al’Akir ends up being discounted very often. Contrary to what you’d think the gavel does not make you miss your knuckles very often as you usually end up with both the weapon and a cagematch custodian to draw another out. I had an 80%+ win rate with this build from diamond 5 up
Losing non-stop with this but i've also never played elemental shaman before. are there any specific mulligan guides or strategies for this or should i just refer to whatever a regular elemental shaman would do in the early game?
Indeed, early game is elemental. So mulligan for custodian, kindling and vapor. Against mages I also keep one tiny toys. Against (aggro) druid I also keep one revolve. Wait till they play their quillboar or that 2/4 minion or Greybough and you win with revolve.
I just hit legend with it a few minutes ago. The mulligan you recommended really helped but I did cut the dunk tanks and added one lightning storm to help against aggro druids and face hunters.
With so many Mages hanging around Diamon tier right now, what about Mutanus? And did you ever try Selfless Sidekick?
Mages are a serious pain in the a. I keep Tiny toys in mulligan, it's your only shot. Selfless Sidekick is not needed imho, because of the custodian.
do you really need TWO Primordial Protector ? or do two copies really just make sure to draw Tiny Toys when rng is too cheeky with you in late game ? (and with late game i mean turn 8 then lol)
im going to try this thx 4 sharing
Hi there, I was 100% aboard your input and tried it with 1 Primordial Protector. But indeed I missed my Tiny Toys. Seeing late game is turn 8 indeed (which is sad for me because I always loved Control/Combo) I need to be sure to draw one early, with a hopefully reduced cost Protector, asap.
thx 4 ur answer and yes, i just only played your version with 2 Primordial Protectors and it doesnt felt as bulky as i thought. There were many matches where i even had it reduced for 6 mana. imagine that wet dream of a curve with Boggspine Knuckles on turn 5. Opp Auto concede- Shaman is a thing right now haha
btw :
Thanks for the deck. The first time I took a legend in the standard, win rate 81 percent)
Makes me very happy, thank you!
