I'm playing this list in Casual, and having a lot of fun with it. So far, my biggest Sunscale Raptor has been 13 attack. The challenge comes in trying to keep cycling the raptors... it's not easy, but the buffed Leatherworking Kit makes it a bit easier.
There's just one raptor in the deck, to make its early scaling a lot faster. You can make a copy of 3rd or 4th generation raptor with Selective Breeder.
Mulligan for the weapon, the raptor, and Scavenger's Ingenuity. You should pretty easily draw into an Augmerchant, Wound Prey, or Devouring Swarm to activate your first frenzy. If you have weapon in your opening hand, it's okay to keep Kolkar Pack Runner and a couple spells.
One of the best cards to bounce back to hand with Swarm is Warsong Wrangler. You can make a very threatening board with back-to-back Wranglers.
But even with the cycle and generation above, your hand can really empty really fast. So double Lock and Load and one Saddlemaster are in the deck for mid-to-late game value.
Yeah, I'm sorry, I kind of gave up on Sunscale Raptors in Standard, again. I had some really fun games, but it's not a good deck for ranked ladder.
I'm trying a similar deck in Wild, using Desert Camels to tutor the Raptors. But again, I wouldn't recommend this sort of thing for climbing.
Maybe a budget face hunter deck would be better? I've climbed in recent months with various Trampling Rhino combo/OTK decks. Aside from a few essential epics, these decks can be easy on dust budget, and have pretty good success in the current meta.
Thanks for the tip, but I got lucky and got the priest questline card and built a priest deck, it has been working quite well for me this far. :)
I haven't played Hearthstone for years so I came back and i'm trying to do standard weekly quest with this deck but i'm getting destroyed by these quest decks... I chose this one because I don't have any new legendaries at all. I'm missing a few cards though. I use this deck at chicken rank (not sure how the current ranking works).
My track record this far is 2-17 and I have this bronze rank (cute baby tiger face).
Basically it takes too long to cycle through the deck to get to the strong raptors and play them. And when I finally play them, the opponent just clears them with spells.
Should I be using some other kind of budget deck for standard for the weeklies and dailies?
