Yes, control Priest is not in a great spot right now, but that's not true for the class overall. Shadow Priest, if built as an aggro deck, is really powerful and I think at least as good as Face Hunter. This is the deck I've ended up with after some experimentation

We only run 3 shadow spells: Raise Dead for some re-fuel, Void Shard because it goes face and 1x Thrive in the Shadows to always draw Mankrik's Wife. I was initially running Insight, but not only does this mean we might fail to find the wife, it was also sometimes a pain to corrupt and the discount effect sucks if you pull an 1-drop. I decided to cut it for 2x of a card that I doubt anyone else is running in the current meta, Traveling Merchant. Worst case it's 1-mana draw a card, but so far it's often a 3-mana 4/5 on curve or even bigger on a later turn.
Voidtouched Attendant is insanely powerful with the ability of this deck to vomit high-HP minions and go wide. Wriggling Horror is just great in such a deck that goes wide
Dragonmaw Overseer buffs our key minions (such as the Attendants) and becomes a priority removal target for the opponent, which protects ourother key minions even more
Cult Neophytes are key defensive plays in my meta on t6-t7 as I face a lot of OTK Demon Hunters and Miracle Rogues and it completely shuts them down
The rest of the cards either offer efficient card draw or great stats for the cost.
Feel free to cut something for an additional tech like Robes of Protection if that makes more sense in your meta, but I don't find it necessary
I am 4-0 vs Face Hunters, it's so funny to outrace them and get their HP down to 0 first, but the deck does it really well. Quest Warlocks are easy pickings, they do half the work for you already with all their self-damage and you are always able to finish them off before they pop off. Other matchups are mostly balanced, except Handbuff Paladin who is really tough. If they get going with their handbuffing early and drop some huge taunts on the board we are done as we have absolutely no removal
