DECK OVERVIEW

This plays like a lot of Priest decks that are used in the heroic solo expansion scene. It is a blend between a Murloc and Lightwell/Deathlord OTK deck. You're looking to use the low-cost Murlocs to keep the board clean. During that time you're trying to buff something (ideally Lightwell or Deathlord) to the point where you can use it to exert a high amount of damage and control the board with it. Whatever you buff needs to avoid Lich King's Obliterate. You can force it out of him with one of the Murlocs or Platebreaker. If he destroys the minion you've been buffing, you more than likely will need to restart.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

I recently completed the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion with all nine classes using only decks that I made. Which by the way I totally recommend. It is frustrating as f*** trying to beat the Lich King on your own, but it is extremely rewarding. It took me a few months of on-and-off play to finally do it. Priest was one of the last classes I beat him with. Once I settled on this deck, I did not have many issues. Hopefully, this deck will get you through if you're stuck or give you some ideas if you're just looking for inspiration.

CARD USAGE

Low-Cost Murlocs - These guys are included to give you an early board presence, to make early trades, and to synergize with Northshire Cleric (in case you need something to heal). If you can keep them around, great! If not, they are expendable.

Northshire Cleric - This can be a good first turn play, use it along side the murlocs to get the cards you need early.

Platebreaker - My general philosophy with Platebreaker is, get it down ASAP. That way you are not wasting your early hits on the Lich King's face. Sometimes, the synergetic flow of this deck is not going to warrant playing Platebreaker ASAP. You'll know when your opening is though, and even at it's worst, it will usually shave off at least 10 armor.

Inner Fire, Divine Spirit, Power Infusion, & Velen's Chosen - You're using all these to buff the minion you choose. Most of them will have to go into the same minion. I find Deathlord to be preferable.

Deathlord & Lightwell - Turn one of these into buff boys. In some cases, you may spread the wealth between them. Regardless of what you choose, Lightwell is great for keeping your board healthy. If you can, make it so Deathlord is taking all the hits. Then your Lightwell(s) are healing it.

Holy Nova - Phase one enemy minion removal, friendly minion healing, and synergy with Northshire Cleric.

Shadow Word: Horror - Use this to exit Lich King's phase two. Just make sure your board is ready. If needed, you may wait a turn or two so you are ready to finish him.

Mutanus the Devourer - Used to take a minion (ideally a taunt minion) from Lich King  and give you another decent minion to output damage or trade with after the second phase.

I hope this helps you kick some Lich King butt. Hang in there, keep trying, you're gonna beat him, and it's gonna be so damn sweet when you do.

Thanks for checking my deck out,
