Wailing Caverns Elemental Shaman
Rationale:
Hey y'all, GamerPanda here, excited about the release of Wailing Caverns today. After hitting Top 500 last month I spent most of the remainder of the time messing around with a Doomhammer Shaman build (I'm a Rogue main so my usual deckbuilding involves tempo and burst damage).
With the new set's Primal Dungeoneer, Shaman has been given a critical draw tool that it was lacking previously. This card is clearly meant to marry Elementals with Nature spells, so I designed a deck that included only nature spells and tried to eliminate as much of the Overload as possible.
Wailing Vapor is a great card for the early game that also steps up the power level of Elemental Shaman.
UPDATE 6/8: I dropped Vashj because there weren't enough spells and Dungeoneer helped draw what was needed. I put in a lightning bloom (just 1 for emergency use) and based on your comments I swapped the Fire Elementals for the cheaper Lilypad Lurkers to help with targeted removal. Thanks for your help in playtesting. I'll keep updating so long as you keep commenting.
I am not playing HS right now (on a Skyrim binge) so I won't be playtesting the list further at the moment but will check in on your suggestions based on your experiences and update when I can.
If you're interested in this list, please leave a +1 and comment with your suggestions!
I still plan to expand the guide if as soon as a more finalized list is decided upon! (which looks like a day or two with no major constructive criticisms/suggestions along with positive feedback) Thanks for the interest, everyone :)
For Lady Vashj to actually be useful she would have to not be shuffled to the very bottom of your deck which I've never seen done.
I am having a lot of success with runing 2x Devolving Missiles and 2x Lilypad Lurker as well. It feels weird to run Arcane spells, but its only 2 so the chance is low to hit them (10 spells total) and hitting the unlucky 2/3 + draw is actually not the worst in this strategy. Think of it as Manafeeder Panthera in Demon Hunter curves.
I also run 2 Diligent Notetaker to go with the missiles, lightning bolts and rockbiters.
I do not run Kindling Elemental because they are too low impact and do not run Instructor Fireheart as it does not fit the deck very well (too slow) and we already have 2x Primal Dungeoneer in this "slot". Also not running Vashj and Inara.
Final note: missiles + doomhammer = OP
I ditched Lady Vashj and Inara and put the Lilypad Lurkers back in. There's a lot of sticky minions currently in the meta that having big bodies that come with free Hexes is pretty much mandatory.
You might be right! Let me know how it's going with that change. Vashj and Inara are not essential. If it's doing really well for you I can make a list change. How important are you finding the fire elementals?
Pretty fun deck
Doesn't work against new deathrattle DM. Need more healing and removal.
I agree even when I played doomhammer shaman last month deathrattle DH and paladins were the most problematic. Face hunter is faster than us oftentimes as well. Maybe try the control variant of dungeoneer shaman if this aggressive list isn't working for you.
So I took your deck and refined it to my playstyle.
I removed both Lilypad Lurker's and Lady Vashj, Vashj is good but most of the time you won't see the prime and if you do see it, you don't have many spells to begin with so most likely it won't be worth it. The lilypad's are great cards, just slows the deck down though when you're trying to go face.
I added one more Stormstrike and two Fire Elementals. Both will help push you to enough face damage. I'm thinking of adding in Alexstrasza the Life-Binder because many games I'll get them low health but just can't finish them off in time. Not sure what else to take out though.
I guess the ladder to play this is a very low one, no good at all after plat.
The deck is good, but it is not refined. Try out the more tuned version I used to get ledend with .71% WR from D5 to legend.

I have created the similar deck day 1. What I can tell you, Vasj is absolutely terrible here. Also, Inara is underperforming to me, but at least she is useful sometimes. You absolutely need 2 doomhammers, cut 1 Gnoll hammer for that. Add second stormstrike instead of Vasj and you have a deck :)
The deck does fantastic against some decks and totally blows it with Warlock
Great Fun Deck... 9-1 so far through Plat into Diamond.
I am 12-0 with this deck so far. Really well done!
I moved to a faster list after a couple of games trying to include this many elementals. I think with Primal Dungeoneer you'd like the draw results to be more consistent. Having a lot of elementals, you may draw one that isn't helpful at certain points of the game when you need it. How is this list doing against Control? I've been having a bit of trouble beating Control Warriors. Maybe take a look at the list I just posted on my profile. It's an aggro-Doomhammer lineup like you mentioned.
Hiya. Yeah I think heavy control builds will always be favored against this type of deck, especially Warrior. Maybe you're right, that drawing things like Rockbiter Weapon and Stormstrike might be better. It does do an insane amount of damage. Maybe if I sub in Doomhammer and those spells by cutting heavy elementals and whack a knoll it could become more effective against control decks just because of the sheer amount of damage from the weapon.
What do you think of:
-Al'Akir, Fire Elementals, Lilypad Lurkers, Earth Revenants, Naralex, Whack-A-Gnoll
+Vashj, Rockbiter, Stormstrike, 1x Torrent, 1x Notetaker, Inara, 2x Doomhammer?
Vashj is an interesting choice that might work okay with a not fully aggro list like yours. I'd say keep the Whack-a-Gnolls as they're great on 3 if you pull them with cagematch custodian. I guess the choice to not run them and just have doomhammers would just be so you could have the DH finisher consistently, in which case you would definitely need double rockbiter at least. I'm not sold on Stormstrike as mandatory though. I absolutely recommend notetaker; 2 if you can fit it. Torrent can be good if you have enough spells, but I don't know how many big minions are getting pushed out early right now. Inara is solid too. I'm running her as a top-end card.
Two things to consider:
-Why no Lightning Bloom? Just seems like such a good card to help you push power turns.
-And then something else to consider, Brukan and Doomhammer kind of have the same function as finishers in the deck. DH seems superior b/c of the strength of cagematch custodian tudoring it. But if you remove Brukan and the Dunk Tanks, you actually free up the 4-slot to play Kazakus (of course with the additional removal of Earth Revenant). Something to consider.
I love Vashj for the spell draw to go with Bru'kan or to just finish, but maybe not necessary with Dungeoneer.... I could understand 1 Doomhammer, but if we kill the Dunk Tank and Bru'kan for Kazakus we really don't have any AOE anymore and really have to focus on early to mid game board control or it's light's out.
I guess I didn't put in Bloom because I was trying to avoid overload effects. Maybe if we switched to a doomhammer list the bloom might be more impactful.
Edit: OK. Well. I'm going to try your Kazakus suggestion with 1 Doomhammer, Rockbiters, Blooms, and Vashj. We'll see how it goes!
I'm crushing paladins so hard, I love it.
Deck goes bonkers plus it's absolutely fun to play
