Hello Everyone. This is my day one deck I am taking into the wailing caverns. As an avid shaman lover and personal strength of control play, this is my take into day 1.
The two additions come in the form of two new neutral card in the mini-set.
Mutanus the Devourer (7 mana 4/4 murloc - eat a minion)
&
Archdruid Naralex (3 mana 3/3 - dormant dream cards)
These two new additions should better prepare us for combo decks/warlocks/other control decks. I love the idea of obtaining an additional Nightmare for our Al'Akir the Windlord + Diligent Notetaker combo!! -edit: this is proving to be very effective in these early iterations. Having a lot of fun with this list right off the bat!
6/3 update: 7-1 currently in D-10. (loss is to clown druid, need a game plan for that :>)
No, definitely not necessary. C'thun was one of my considerations to remove for the two neutral cards. I honestly find the pieces to be more valuable than the win condition at the end, as you rarely utilize it.
What potential replacement were you thinking? Maybe add back Inara?
Maybe Yogg? Would that work?
That would be an interesting change, I may try that myself to see how it performs. I would think there are enough spells to get there by turn 10ish.
Hello guys, since the deck is control oriented plus contains a respectful pool of different tribes, N'Zoth will be a nice addition. Best possible outcomes are Al'Akir, Death's Head Cultist (survivability), The Lurker Below (great body) and Ysera. I ll give it a try at D3-Legend and i ll post any feedback. Cheers
I would be very interested in seeing your success/utilization of this change!
