Hello,
My name is spekaleks. I have been playing Tempo Mage since the beginning of this game.
I have climbed to Legend every season with some form of Tempo mage.
This is the first season in a while I have noticed no core list of tempo mage out there. I am trying to help tempo mage become mainstream again. If this gets good action I will post an in depth mulligan guide and matchup guide on this deck as well.

I love this deck! Really fun to play. I only lost due to some terrible draws so far, but most of the time, it's pretty solid. Hunters don't stand a chance. And did I mention it's FUN? Thanks man.
I like this deck but currently i'm 7-13, i'm having lots of problems against aggro, hunters and paladins are destroying me.

The Tempo mage concept was always an interesting and fun choice to climb ladder. I've tried in last month, but I got nearly 50% WR so it was hard to climb consistent, mainly because it was full of Paladins and was hard to win against them. After the nerfs I see way less Paladins and against the other classes it is not so hard. I am D2 atm, and climbed mostly(90%) with tempo mage.
I see many of you asking what about against Hunter. I see the Hunter matchup that way if you don't draw the early game cards and he has the good opening cards then ofc there is no chance but if you get good early game cards you can constantly clear their board and even maintain good board control, so they barely can do anything. The damage spells went often on clearing my board and HeroPower is not enough to win against mage.
Though I would improve this deck. From the experience of many games with this type of deck I see you need to maintain board control, I barely lose board control with this deck, so I would replace one of the Mask of C'Thun so something else even a second Ogre, you don't really need it, it is useful vs Warriors to destroy their weapon but you have enough damage to win the game.
I see there are only Primordial Studies which gives you way less options to have a good start. I don't have any Fireball so I can use Kazakus, a turn 5 golem often causes huge problems to the opponents.
My variation:
-2x Fireball (You have enough damage, I didn't feel I miss this card)
-1x Mask of C'Thun
-2x Wandmaker (Not that much value, BB can give much better spells
+2x Babbling Book
+1x Kazakus, Golem Shaper
+2x Lab Partner (It is so useful with Shooting Star, it cleared the board early game so many times I won't exclude)
EDIT: Forgot to mention I don't use Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate, it is too random, and it can even lose the game for you, though I didn't use it so much so I can have a good overview of it. I just wanted to mention if someone is thinking about if it is mandatory or have to be crafted.
I am a huge mage fan (~1500 wins while with the others not even 500), so I'm glad that we have a viable mage deck which is not the stupid spell mage. :)
I am surprised that I didn't see any Tempo mage against me in the ladder.
What are your experiences with/against this deck? I would like to get any feedback for improvement.

again, I disagree with many of the card replacements you have made. I end more games with fireball than any other way.
Again, this deck has been tested and proven to get players to legend if piloted correctly. Yogg is the only card you mentioned where I agree it is not necessary and even I constantly shift that card slot to test things out

Sorry boys and girls but this deck is garbage. At Diamond rank you're beating nothing, not beating hunter, not beating druid, not beating warrior, not beating priest. Might be fun at the other ranks, but this deck is trash!
Mean this is the nicest way I can. But you prolly not piloting correct. I have only played this deck this month and am currently sitting at 1820 legend. I wish you the best, but this deck has already been tested at the highest ranks on ladder and succeeded
how do u see alexstrasza in this deck?
Alexstrasza is not necessary. You have more than enough burn in the deck to end games. and the 8/8 body for 9mana is not worth it.
You are better off running more earlygame to maintain board than you are adding in any more lategame minions.

Made a user to post here. Feels really good this deck.
I removed an Arcane Intellect, added another Cram Session for it. (Feels like the spell damage is setup every game)
Removed Yogg and replaced it with another Starscryer. (Not sure Yogg will come to play really often)

0-4 vs Hunter
Too slow in first rows
Against hunter there are a lot of small mistakes you can make costing you precious health. If you navigate this matchup appropriately you are favored.
How necessary are Jandice Barov and Astromancer Solarion in this deck? They are the only two I'm missing.
Jandice is a tough card to lose. Very strong card period. If you have to replace jandice I would put in a 2nd ogremancer or a sorcerous substitute.
Astromancer solarion is less important. You can still get copies of this from primordial studies. I would still keep spell power in the deck though and replace him with the 1 mana 1/3 that gives spell damage in mage.
any replacement for Ras Frostwhisper or is a must?
I can’t act like that won’t make the deck worse. Ras is a great card in this deck.
If I had to take it out I would put one of these 3 options a 2nd ogremancer, sorcerous substitute, or Taelon
