Long time no Standard! This deck will satisfy you in terms of both competitive and fun aspects in ranking. Time for some analytics and here is my table of content.

  1. Why do we play this deck?

    The Deathrattle mechanic in DH is the most fun mechanic in Standard. Moreover, it is boring now to play Paladin or Mage, which is why this deck enters the chat and brings fun.

     

  2. How do we play this deck?


    The strategy is simple: we play our minions on curve to gain tempo in early and mid-game. During the match, we draw cards using Spectral Sight or Skull of Gul'dan to enable burst damage and swing turn. Besides, Felsteel Executioner is a surprising addition and its perfect synergy with Claw Machine can deal 42 damage in 6 turns.
    Against aggro decks, our strategy is to play as many minions as we can to not be behind in tempo. Then we swing using Illidari Inquisitor or Death Speaker Blackthorn.Against control decks, gain tempo as much as you can, but not over-committing the minions as you could be punished by AOEs (Twisting Nether, Brawl, Flamestrike...)Against OTK decks, just spam minions and try to finish the match as soon as you can to ensure they don't OTK you back.

  3. Mulligan

    Specifically, we should mulligan for Razorboar, Razorfen Beastmaster, and Darkspear Berserker because these cards are excellent in chaining the Deathrattle effect. Against aggro decks, you can mulligan for Death's Head Cultist for extra healing.

  4. Card Replacement

    You can replace one Circus Amalgam for one Fishy Flyer. The Fury cards are my special sauce in reaching lethal, if u see that they are not effective in your matches, replace them with Venomous Scorpid to discover shenanigans.

  5. Statistics
    I don't have trouble facing Paladins or Priest. However, whenever I face Druid, they always have Ramp cards and Guardian in their hand (so lucky).
