This deck is based around the concept of amping Mage's hero power as much as possible, then laying waste to an opponent and their board all at once with Reckless Apprentice in preparation for a finishing blow using Mordresh Fire Eye

It is geared towards the late game where your opponent either dies to one huge shot from your hero power, Reckless Apprentice, or Mordresh Fire Eye. For example I've been able to have my hero power built up to do 24 damage before dropping a Reckless Apprentice. Played well and it is definitely possible to pull off an OTK.

The strategy to this deck is this:

Discover cards are used to fish for extra copies of Wildfire while Potion of Illusion is used to create cheap copies of the smaller hero power boosting minions like Fallen Hero and Arcane Amplifier. If you can snag an illusion copy of Clockwork Automaton or Reckless Apprentice as well, even better.

You can hold on to your Wildfires if you need. If it comes down to playing Wildfire and shooting or shooting then playing Manafeeder Panthera for a draw, don't be afraid to go for the draw. Remember this deck is about playing patiently before blowing up your opponent's face in one go. When playing your discover cards, if Wildfire isn't an option but Potion of Illusion is, take it, particularly if it's coming from a Primordial Glyph.

Try to snag as many minions at once with Potion of Illusion when possible. Then trade what's on the board into getting rid of divine shields, reborns and deathrattles that generate more minions. Make sure you play Tour Guide after a Reckless Apprentice or you will waste your free shot.

I haven't been tracking my win rate, but I know it's been pretty good. I've been using this deck for the weekly Ranked wins quest and can usually clear it that same day. Hope you have fun and if you have any questions, please ask.
