Hi guys, take a look at the deck I used to climb from diamond 4 to Legend! It's a deck that revolves around creating big rush minions through Ringmaster's Baton, Stage Dive and Conditioning (Rank 1) to control the board. This is very strong in itself but a big upside is that you can answer immediate threats without having to play around cards such as Oh My Yogg! and Counterspell.
I'm trying to add a screenshot of the winrate in Decktracker and a screenshot where I reach legend to the description as proof but it's not working for me. If the deck gets any attention I'll try again but I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to computers haha.
The winrate is based on 29 games where I had a win/loss ratio of 22/7. An earlier and less optimized version of the deck, which I used to climb from Platinum to Diamond, went 52/30 which came down to a winrate of 63%.
If the decklist gets 10 likes I'll write down a mulligan guide!
Edit:
-Corsair Cache +Rokara, Corsair Cache is too slow against anything that isn't control. Rokara is very useful to improve your lead when the opponent can't clear all your minions.
Isnt cutting the 3/3 weapon that draws on kill a crime, and a great reason to play corsair cache after all?
(I switched to Commencement Warrior and am also having good results, seems Warrior is in a nice spot right now after the round of nerfs. That weapon is carrying me quite hard though; Also played a somewhat thicker than usual menagerie last set and it was already quite good then, largely because the amount of taunts is great against weapon-based decks, good to see its still working, will give it a whirl soon!)
The 3/3 weapon is very strong and I initially put it in, but this deck already has a lot of draw through stage dive, whatley, anchorman and taelan. Besides that the ringmaster's baton and sword eater already give you a total of 4 weapons in the deck, adding more can really clutter your hand.
7-4 in silver with this deck, its pretty fun and gets some close games too for the losses I had
I dont have the Ringmaster Watley so went with big 8 minion
Why am I losing with this deck? Am I just dumpster dog shyt? What do I mulligan for and what is the overall objective of the deck? I feel like I'm just throwing good cards away
It's a bit of a tricky deck to play and for some matchups I'm actually still trying to figure out the best gameplan. You always want to keep athletic studies, stage dive, bumper car and darkmoon dirigible in hand. The best card to get is ringmaster's baton, if you have that in your hand you try to mulligan for one mech, pirate and dragon (and amalgams of course). This will allow you to get maximum hand buff value out of the baton.
When you get the right cards you try to play baton on 2 (or on 1 with coin) and then hit every turn to play big minions on turn 3, 4 and/or 5. Usually you want to out tempo your opponent but in control matchups it can be better to restrict yourself to 1 big threat on board at a time to make them spend their removal inefficiently.
Any replacement for Ringmaster Whatley? I assume it's for drawing. Would Alexstrasza bit a good fit?
Ringmaster Whatley is very good for draw of course but is also useful to guarantee maximum value out of Ringmaster's Baton when you have it in play. I'm currently testing with Alexstrasza and I think it's a very solid card in the deck, but not really as a replacement for Whatley.
If you don't have a lof of dust you probably you probably shouldn't craft Ringmaster Whatley imo, because he is only good in this very specific deck.
Love this deck!
Im winning, but more importantly its quite fun. Nice change of pace from the lunacy. Thanks for posting
If you're looking to add a screenshot, you can use the snipping tool. It's very useful for windows computers. All you have to do is press the windows button located bottom left on your keyboard and type "snipping tool" into the search bar that pops up. Once it pops up, click "new" and crop your screenshot with it. From there you can either copy the image or save it as a photo to insert it into your write-up.
This is a deck from the book of mercenaries?
I would replace 1x hog with ETC is you have it. This deck has no way to deal damage without a board sticking.
This deck feels very good, i just have issues with hograncher. Is it there just for the nzoth?
Yeah I put in the hograncher as kind of a filler for the 3 drop spot, since curve is important for this deck. It's quite strong against aggro but N'zoth is definitely part of the reason I went for it. I am trying out venomous scorpid as a replacement but it's getting some mixed results. Good value generation against control matchups but feels way too slow against aggro.
Right now I'm 7-2 with this deck! Seems pretty fun and surprisingly good. I haven't faced Warlock yet with this deck, so I'm not sure how well it does against all that removal, but it seems very good against hunter and paladin.
FYI, to post images on this site, you need to link to your image hosted on another site, like imgur.
I'm glad you like it! I thought the deck was kind of 50/50 against Warlock but I just checked my match history and it's saying I am 9/1 against it, so really good actually. The trick is to play one big threat at a time to make sure they don't get value out of their twisting nether, hysteria and cascading disaster. Also to never play N'zoth before they played both twisting nether, that way it will be impossible or at least very costly for them to clear your board.
Thanks for the tip! I'll try it out.
