Introduction

This is the first time I've played Demon Hunter seriously and I have to admit it's been a blast. Soul DH is still a very powerful archetype, the damage output of the deck is insane.

I've decided to run just 1 copy of Skull of Gul'dan because of Counterspell and Oh My Yogg! and because it can be clunky sometimes. Also running just one Illidari Inquisitor to lower the curve.

Stats

Just reached legend!

Paladin is a tough matchup, all other classes are fine.

Mulligan

In general, try to keep early game stuff: Spirit Jailer, Wandmaker and Manafeeder Panthara. Illidari Studies and Chaos Strike aren't bad either.

In addition to that:

• Against aggro (rogue, druid, paladin, hunter, DH, shaman): keep Aldrachi Warblades and Shardshatter Mystic (this one only if you have a shard generator)
• Against control (mage, priest, warrior, warlock): always keep Marrowslicer. Keep Skull of Gul'dan if it's in the far left.

Some tips

Try to avoid using face damage stuff to clear minions, you already have cards like Soul Shear, Eye Beam, Shardshatter Mystic, Bladed Lady and Illidari Inquisitor for that.

Manage well your healing tools vs aggro.

Manage well your attack values for potential Bladed Lady turns.

Manage well your weapon charges for potential Illidari Inquisitor turns.

When in doubt, go face.
