*DISCLAIMER*
*DO NOT CRAFT IF YOU ARE LOW ON DUST DECK IS IN TESTING AND AT THIS TIME ONLY FOR FUN*
This build was created as a theorycraft and is currently a work in progress. The surge of No - Minon Mage , C'thun Warlock, and Secret Paladin have made it a little hard for this deck to be effective but, playtesting is being done and i'll update the list as the meta shapes up in the following days. Thanks and I hope you guys enjoy the deck!*
Rokara Rush Warrior
As most of you know as I am typing this we are only a few short days away from the start of a new hearthstone season and ALOT is about to change. Year of the gryphon is rotating in, along with a brand new expansion known as Forged in the barrens. Now with all these changes about to take place alot of people are worried or scared how the meta will change with that being said after the full set of Forged in the Barrens cards were revealed to me it was pretty obvious the hearthstone dev team decided to take a more board - centric style this time around. None of the cards really stood out to me too much to begin with but as I kept researching I found a perfect solution to this board - centric meta. Rush warrior has been around for a few years now and while ive always been a fan *check out my other decks on my page ive been testing rush warrior for awhile now* nothing has ever really just stuck in the meta. I mean sure they hover around 50% win rate but I want a deck that is consistant and that can stand up to the other giants in the meta and with a game based more on board presence now I finally think its time for the rush warrior to get its time in the spotlight.
Win Condition (How the Deck Works)
Ladies and gentleman the plan is simple...
- Deal chip damage with early weapons and tempo minions
- Combo cards like Parade leader with cards like Blademaster Samuro, Rokara, and Playmaker for huge damage and board clear swing turns.
- When they taunt up and try to lock you out of the game late finish them off with E.T.C. God of Metal and Playmaker combo. Everyone loves using the towers so much use the towers against them with E.T.C. to secure the win.
Its just that easy. No need for a long winded explanation just smack face early and often, and use combo pieces responsibly and you too can dominate the early meta game with Rokara Rush Warrior. Any feedback or comments are welcome be sure to thumbs up if you like what you saw.
This guide is great but why is it in comic sans?
10-0 losses so far. better wait for the upcoming nerfs, until you try this.
i dont have kargath nor e.t.c. which should i craft first?
Kargath for sure. he goes in multiple decks while ETC goes only into 1 type. I've also had to craft both but had my eye on them for a longer while
Having a lot of fun with this, very solid imo, but since I didn't have the dust to craft Rokara or Samuro, I replaced them with 2 Frothing Berzerker and accidently made this deck A LOT more aggressive . ( which is my play style. ) Getting a zerker behind two Mor'Shan Elites and then pumping his damage up with Bumper Cars + Playmaker + 1/1 rush tokens is nuts XD
Got to play one game with this deck against a taunt druid and it handled it fairly well except for the fact that ETC was the very last card drawn in my deck so my win condition was never really met and I eventually lost.
You sound like you have my luck haha
I lost speed very often and when it comes to the late game, I usually lose out. Especially against decks that can collect their important cards and are not forced to put them on the field.
Therefore, the attempt to bring a little more speed into the game, which, however, resembles an all-in (Poker).
But the games are usually shorter now :P
Changes:
Out:
- 2 Imprisoned Gan'arg
- 2 Sword Eater
- 2 Cutting Class
- 1 Doctor Krastinov
- 2 Mor'shan Elite
- 1 Mankrik
In:
+ 2 Spiked Wheel (very nice in Turn 1 with Bloodsail Deckhand)
+ 2 Bloodsail Deckhand (for all weapons in Deck a fine Card)
+ 2 Conditioning (Rank 1)
(in many games you have to play the first servant to pimp Stage Dive or just to keep the theme going. So in most cases I have to put my Parade Leader on the field. Often the bonus it brings with it goes to waste. Therefore, this card has been the choice to strengthen my small servants (bumper cars, Riders, Samuro, ...).
+ 1 Lord Barov (vs Taunts, big servents, ...)
+ 1 Overlord Runthak (pump again)
+ 1 High Inquisitor Whitemane (YES! I love it :) )
+ 1 Overlord Saurfang (Value and Cards)
Super cool changes! I dig it!
it made the deck worst. reverting to the original.
Been running this since the moment Barrens dropped. Solid deck.
The huge key to the deck is that it is very adaptable. If you are against control, you can run a more tempo/aggro strategy and go face fast and often. This is key against decks like no minion mage/ spell damage mage/ and corrupt control priest. Against aggressive decks, you will focus your efforts and minions on keeping the board clear. Having a board clear can be nice at times, but simply putting the array of rush minions to use is often enough to keep things manageable.
In probably half my games, Kargath Bladefist has been the hero. Against the mage variants, you definitely want to combo him with playmaker as the extra armor will come in handy around the time they start dropping spell damage minions to take you down.
Against Mage, be careful about overextending the board around turn 5 or so. One well timed flamestrike can ruin the day. Loaded Mordresh, as well.2
Against the mirror and taunt druid, ETC is often key, as is board control.
Celestial Alignment druid you need to push hard and fast. Face often. This is the only deck I've faced that made me wish I ran a brawl as the constant 12/12 clowns is nasty. Pray you pull the Darkmoon Rabbit with Athletic Studies.
Watch Tower Rogue is an issue, as well. Mostly because we have limited tools to deal with an early tower. Ideally mulligan for an Imprisoned Gan'arg with solid tempo. Keep constant pressure and you have a chance.
Secret Paladin is about tempo and board control. Not an easy match for any deck. Keep their board clear and push face when you can. Here you, ideally, would like to have Gan'arg, Crabrider/Bumper Car, and Rokara in your opening hand.
The only real change I would make, if I made it at all, would be to swap out one Sword Eater for a Brawl. Main reason that is difficult is because you, ideally, want to have a weapon at all times since they synergize with Krastinov and Mor'Shan Elite. And, with your minions on board control duties, it is your constant source of chip damage. Obvious exception being the Axe. That doesn't go face if you can avoid it.
Added a new disclaimer to the top of the page. Until further notice only play this deck for fun or if you have some dust to spare. The rise of the new archetype of secret paladin among others have made it very difficult to be competitive with this deck. So if you need a competitive deck for ranked I suggest GamerPanda's combo rogue, a control warlock variant, or a secret paladin variant. Happy grinding everyone!
Made the deck and played it. Can be fun at times. After both in legend and after the rest 50 games I cannot recommend to craft this deck, it's really bad.
Meta didn't shake out the way I thought it would. This build was created as a theorycraft days before I knew what would be popular and what wouldn't, and I'm actively looking for changes to make to it. I do have to agree at this time until changes can be made to fit the meta I dont recommend crafting unless you have extra dust or wanna just play something fun.
Good idea with the disclaimers. Testing out with Crossroads Watch Post right now, seem to be handling no minion decks/spell heavy pretty well.
Losing to every secret paladin out there.
To be fair everything loses to secret paladin and its 60% - 65% winrate but you're right if the meta keeps going in the direction it is currently some changes are gonna have to be made to make it faster and more viable vs. secret paladin.
