Hello everyone! My name is DissolvedGuy, aka "Grapefruited" on Battlenet, and I've been lurking in the community for a long time now and I think it is about time that I give something back to the community.

This deck is, as the title exclaims, a budget deck. This is mainly because I myself do not buy Hearthstone packs (oftentimes) for real money just as many others in the community. The deck builds largely on Trump's concept of mage being a great class for board control which is mainly the reason why I chose mage.

Aside from the new excellent cards that has been released in the GvG expansion, there are still a huge amount of basic, or craftable, cards that are both cheap and extremely effective in mage. The whole concept of this deck is keeping control of the board, big shocker I know. The minions in this deck are both strong by themselves, but especially strong with eachother, since the mech synergy truly runs strongly here.

Explanations of card choices/combos:

Clockwork Gnome: A very cheap, expendable card that hands out a Spare Part to you which has enough attack to kill any 3/2 minion whilst you're continuing to establish your board. As if this isn't enough, the Clockwork Gnome is also a MECH which gives this card huge synergy, mainly with Tinkertown Technician and Mechwarper.

Mana Wyrm: Often a must in many mage decks, why shouldn't this card be run? It obviously has great synergy with all the cheap spells we're running. but also this card GAINS ATTACK FROM SPARE PARTS! This can make Mana Wyrm extremely effecient and flexible depending on what Spare Parts rngjesus may be handing to you.

Flamecannon: 4 damage to a minion!? FOR 2 MANA!? Have a good one Dark Cultist, and go **** yourself.

Frostbolt: There is no reason not to run this card, extemely solid pick for any mage.

Ironbeak Owl: This deck is very flexible to be able to go from a state of being heavy on controlling the board to being full on out aggro. If the opponent is low and put out a pesky Sludge Belcher, you better have one Ironbeak Owl in your arsenal. The second one may be debatable, but it tests well.

Mechwarper: This card. It is one of the main synergies with mechs in the deck, and it it also the card that enables this deck to go full on out aggro with the tempo it can bring.

Snowchugger: CHUGGA CHUGGA CHUGGA! I personally love this card. It is a mech, it freezes and it can make warriors and rogues alike cry in their sheets. Enough said.

Harvest Golem: Boring card, I know. However, since it is a mech, it has great synergy with the rest of the deck, and it's freaking Harvest Golem. Almost a debatable card, though it is quite sticky.

Spider Tank: Vanilla ice cream 11/10. It's a mech and it has 3/4. This card never dissapoints.

Tinkertown Technician: Here my friends, is the heart of the deck when it comes to synergies. It has synergy with both Mana Wyrm and mechs alike. Truly an awesome card, 4/4 for 3 mana is just insane.

Fireball: Great Balls of Fire, by Jerry Lee Lewis. Do not be afraid to use this card on enemy minions if it helps you establish your board control. Underestimating the consecutive damage your minions can dish out has led to many losses for many people.

Polymorph: Byebye enemy lategame.

Water Elemental: It's a Senjin Shieldmasta that has 1 more health and it freezes. Sorry Valeera and Garrosh.

Loatheb: It’s kind of a win more card in a sense, but it also protects itself from spells on round 5 (if you’re lucky enough to play it then) and it can secure your win. If I would choose to either play a Loatheb or a Sludge Belcher on round five, depending on the situation you should be greedy with Loatheb and save him and later on secure a win.

Sludge Belcher: I can smell zoolocks and cancer hunters nearby, better run a Sludge Belcher just in case.

So far, the testing of this deck is going very smoothly. Extremely smoothly to be honest, I've lost 2 games and won 6 games in ranked. Try it out if you want, if you'd make any changes to it, write a comment!

Feedback is much appreciated!
