Intro

I been playing around with the idea of making an OTK Malygos paladin since I started playing HS, mostly because it seems impossible (and it nearly is). This one is a 7-card otk, which requires 2 discounts from Emperor Thaurissan. This means it's a very, very tight hand to play (effectively you have 1 playable card when you have the full combo too early in the game, which clogs your hand).

Game plan

The game plan is to quickly draw through your deck, while staying alive. There are many ways to build this deck, but I went with the cards I had. Basically mulligan for draw as soon as possible. The full combo is basically Malygos + Consecration, where consecration hits both Soulbound Ashtongue (with spell dmg multiplier on board) and the hero's face. This deals 7 to face and 7x2x2 (with both Mo'arg Artificers).

Uber combo!

What you want is the 7 combo cards in hand, you could do with 1 Mo'arg Artificer less, but that reduces the combo damage to 21, as opposed to 35. And then dropping Emperor Thaurissan + Drakkari Enchanter. The next turn you play the full hand: Soulbound Ashtongue -> give him to your opponent with Silas Darkmoon -> Drop both Mo'arg Artificers -> Shadow Hunter Vol'jin on Silas to drop Malygos -> Consecrate for the win!

Mulligan

Against control you want your combo asap, against aggro it's all about survival. A nice combo against most classes is Wild Pyromancer+Equality+Solemn Vigil.

Against agro try to get healing and spells that slow down the game Hand of A'dal, Flash of Light, Shrink Ray

Substitutes

Many ways to go here. Sathrovarr is mainly here to copy Shirvallah, the Tiger in a pinch or just to heal up when you're close to fatigue (which happens a lot with this kinda deck where 1/3rd of it is your combo). You could sub those for more healing, preferably cheap healing like Forbidden Healing, Snack Run, etc. The latter can even give you additional copies of Time Out!

You can also go with 2 x Doomsayer, maybe drop 2x Wave of Apathy for them. It's really more of an early game deny, and Wave also helps reduce the cost of Shirvallah, so I prefer that option.

Libram of Justice can replace 2 x Shrink Ray. I love just Shrinking a board and not doing anything with it. It reduces damage to 7 max usually, which you can take a turn or two.
