So you're saying you will beat a top 50 player 50% of the time?
I love this deck but getting stomped by burn and secret mage right now, 1-11. Anybody having success in that matchup?
Funny that when a deck is said to have 70%, specially a control deck like this one. The videos never shows how the deck performs against the aggro decks like DH and Hunter and that's exactly what we want to see when a meta is that fast.
I mean you're right, but on the other hand, that wouldn't make for good content would it? And when it comes to Dekkster he does say how the deck preforms against certain matchups in the description.
everyone here writing about 70% winrate - but this is b**lshit))))
I have a feelin somebody's waaaaatchin Me
Feno is a cunt
This Deck loses to almost every aggro deck there is, also to other warlock decks that have Old Gods in them. After around 30 games played, sitting at 40% win rate. Maybe its easier at legend rank, this was all at gold lol sad sad deck, or else Hearthstone just hates me. I swear ill quit this game every time i play, they always get the perfect cards to win. I've hit people with 2 tickatus's in a row and then lose anyway. I hate this game.
HS is such an RNG game, there's only a few parts you have significant control over. The 2 big things that will affect your winrate are: Mulligan, and meta knowledge (which go hand in hand).
You're going to be slightly unfavored against greedier warlock decks, but this version is much better against aggro, if you're losing to aggro that often I'm inclined to ask, how often do you mulligan away the quest? How often are you tapping? Against aggro quest doesn't matter and you want to tap as little as possible, so keeping quest means you're starting with one less card and it's hurting your deck consistency. Tickatus and Envoy also don't matter against aggro, so what are you copying with Felosophy? Generally you should be copying either the 1/5 taunt or the lifesteal demon, Fire Breather can also be good against rogue but only if they have a slow start, otherwise you're better off going for the lifesteal.
EDIT: I will say that I did cut 1 Fire Breather for another Cascading Disaster, since I'm seeing way more greedy decks than aggro, personally.
Knowing what you're opponent is playing will not only tell you what to mulligan, but also what resources you need to save for later. This deck is INCREDIBLY lean on removal, it's got exactly enough for MOST decks. Druids and ramp paladins have more than you can handle, for example, so you're plan is to draw as fast as possible, get that quest done and go for either a C'thun win or tickatus their value away so you can deal with the rest.
That said this version of the deck is a bit worse against greedier decks, but you should be faring better against aggro, so I'd hazard to say you're mulligans are what's costing you those games more often than not.
I've been giving this a try and I have to say it's not only a ton of fun it's good. Thank you!
can this work without the quest card?
Yes, there are multiple variations of the deck including ones without the Quest. The one I run includes Y'Shaarj, C'thun and Malicia with Tickatus and C'thun being the main win conditions. I also run the new 3 mana Hoarder to help with draw and it also synergizes with Y'Shaarj. With that being said, I think the Quest version has a slightly better winrate but its not worth to craft as it will be rotating soon.
