Hello guys, this is my take on quest shaman. With this build I got legend in 2 days of play, with a 25/6 score from diamond 5 to legend just after the Edwin VanCleef nerf.
Thanks for the upvotes and the support. Feel free to comment and doubts will be answered! :D
IMPORTANT: seems like most people can't climb with this deck. If you do not play for fun and you don't want to play offmeta decks do not craft this. I'm playing quest shaman for more than a year now on ladder. It's not every month I get legend with it but I did it a couple of times. So I assume you need experience with this kind of strategy. Other important information: rotation is coming pretty soon, so do not craft this if you don't have the core cards. Thanks again.

Legend and winrate proof:
Guide:
You have 2 ways of playing this deck.
An agressive way and a controlish way.
Both of them are based on completing your quest as soon as possible for dealing double damage with your new hero power with cards like Kobold Lackey, Pen Flinger, Circus Medic and Cumulo-Maximus. You can go either face or control the board with that extra damage. You will have to decide based on your knowledge of the meta and what cards you can expect your enemy plays.
The power of this deck is how you can adapt your gameplan. Sometimes you have to change to full face if its a rogue and he is beating you on tempo plays. In other matches you have to play your both Circus Medic for heal if you are facing an aggro demon hunter. Sometimes you are playing against ress priest and you just have to wait to get to turn 10 and do your combo for up to 48 damage.
Combo:
In addition to that, you have the Y'Shaarj, the Defiler combo. You just have to hero power before you play him with the help of Lightning Bloom or Tour Guide to get 2 copies of corrupted cards you played this game. You have Dunk Tank (8 damage per copy you played before) and Circus Medic (16 damage per copy you played before because you already have the double battlecry :D).
Golden tips I learned playing this deck:
*If you expect a long game, just hold as much as you can to battlecry draws until you have completed the quest.
*Do not be afraid to tempo play Manafeeder Panthara or Instructor Fireheart on turns 2 and 3 against fast decks.
*DO NOT treat this as a combo deck. USE both Lightning Bloom or Tour Guide for tempo too.
*If you are about to get to your combo pieces just dump cards without your double battlecry and make room space.
(Not so obvious) Card choices:
Pen Flinger: I tried lots of variations of quest shaman but the pen one had the best winrate from diamond 5 to legend. This card can do lots of damage with cheap spells you have or the ones you generate with your other battlecry minions. Ping them with your pen and complete your quest very fast.
Serpentshrine Portal: great tempo swing dealing 3 damage and generating a minion + Pen Flinger safe return home (your hand) + overloard for Cumulo-Maximus
Ogremancer: at the time I played this deck to reach legend there were lots of cheap spells beeing used by several classes like rogue, demon hunter, mage and druid. Trust me on this, if your pocket meta have all of these enemies you should give it a try. Some people just get stuck when you play this early game with Lightning Bloom [/card] or even the coin. If you tried it a few times and this card is not beeing helpfull to you just keep in mind that you should have at least 5-6 cards from cost 5 or above to corrupt your cards. Some replacements: [card]barista lynchen , Lorekeeper Polkelt, The Lurker Below
Cobalt Spellkin: 1 mana spells in shaman right now are GREAT. Almost all of them are really usefull in many situations so you can decide how to use them over the game. They are really strong with Pen Flinger.
Cards that made this list it in previous versions (based on the pocket meta):
Devolving Missiles, Animated Broomstick, Questing Explorer, Sandstorm Elemental, Lightning Storm, The Lurker Below, EVIL Cable Rat, Frozen Shadoweaver, Barista Lynchen, Lorekeeper Polkelt
An absolute utter failure of a deck. 10 games 10 losses. I was always too slow for every braindead aggro deck on the latter and every control deck seemed to overwhelm me with sheer value of whatever flavor the class brings. 80% Winrate My Fking Ass.
I just played a few games in 2500ish legend. 5-2 now. I guess it is you! :)
Im sorry to hear that your experience with the deck wasnt great. I made it from diamond 5 to legend with 80% winrate. Im not lying. It doesnt mean you will have 80% winrate playing this deck, but you shouldnt waste your time beeing so toxic because this makes harm for you, me and the hearthstone comunity as a whole.
you are the exception not the rule. don't tell me I'm the problem.
If you are going to post a deck that's fine just don't lie about your winrate.
I mean, if you don’t know how to adapt the deck to agro matchups (which is quite easy) and try to be greedy everytime in mulligan it’s your fault. Don’t blame others for being a bad player lol.
Screw you for being presumptuous. And besides, just look at all the recent comments. People aren't fairing much better than me.
Seems like a very cool deck man! I do wonder if [card]Sky Gen'ral Kragg [/card] is the right card for the 4 mana spot. I was never a big fan of him. I just hit legend today myself and now i want to experiment with some other decks. Def gonna give this one a shot. The ogremancer card is cool! I actually ran 1 in my highlander mage.
For [card]Sky Gen'ral Kragg [/card] have you considered other cards? I was looking at Knife Vendor , Burrowing Scorpid or even Traveling Healer .
I think Sky Gen'ral Kragg has a really solid place in this deck. The 2/3 taunt has lots of value against aggro and if you pull for 6 mana 2 parrots the card is even better. Its not an exciting card but I think its solid. I wouldn't craft him because I play mostly for fun tough xD
But your options are really cool. I tried a few games with a much more aggro deck the Knife Vendor but felt as a dead card against aggro. Burrowing Scorpid is a really good choice I guess. 5 damage behind stealth can be very powerfull. I will try to make room for it.
Nice deck, but it need some defence vs rogue (50% meta in low legend ranks). They drop questing adventurer early = you can concede. It needs missiles, I guess. I ll play some more to decide what to replace with it.
I played a few versions with Devolving Missiles but when I was facing lots of rogues and paladins. You should make room for 1 or 2 depending on how much you are facing these classes.
also try to mulligan for Wandmaker. there are a lots of outs from this that helps like silence, devolve, revolve and freeze (wich sometimes is all you need to win the game)
Such a fun deck especially when the opponent doesn't expect a sudden outburst of damage.
Little difficult to play and looking forward to the guide,, 15 upvotes at the moment :)
thanks for the upvote!! im working on the guide right now :D
Why no Questing Explorer?
i just feel really bad if i draw it when you dont have the quest anymore. i know its just a feeling but come with me with a little math if you want.
again. this is just a feeling I have. and I play for fun. but here are some numbers:
if you put 2 quest adventurer you have 82% chance to draw 1 of them on the first 10 cards you see or draw (mulligan included, quest always in your hand included as well). at this point in game you almost always finished your quest. but if you want to get to use both of them before you complete the quest you have only 34% of chance of that.
if you put only 1 quest adventurer, you have 41% chance of drawing it on the first 10 cards you see or draw and that for me is too little chance and cost to kill a deck slot for that. If you draw it after the quest you just lost 1 draw for a plain 2/3.
DIdn't had any success with it. Too slow for control, too slow against aggro. No idea against which deck this deck should win. However, the idea itself is nice. Unfortunately, it doesn't work out.
im sorry to hear that. what you mean too slow for control and too slow against aggro? i won almost any match against control decks because they can't stop the high damage output this deck has. the aggro decks are this decks weak spot but sometimes if you control the early game board you can kill them in turn 6 or 7.
I can't believe your patience for answering such a rank bronze 5 comment lol. I admire you.
my nickname is hearthzen: hearthstone zen. i have to keep the patience and calm under control. lul.
anyway, thanks for your comment <3
Ogremancer × 2 ??
