Hello guys, this is my take on quest shaman. With this build I got legend in 2 days of play, with a 25/6 score from diamond 5 to legend just after the Edwin VanCleef nerf.
Thanks for the upvotes and the support. Feel free to comment and doubts will be answered! :D
IMPORTANT: seems like most people can't climb with this deck. If you do not play for fun and you don't want to play offmeta decks do not craft this. I'm playing quest shaman for more than a year now on ladder. It's not every month I get legend with it but I did it a couple of times. So I assume you need experience with this kind of strategy. Other important information: rotation is coming pretty soon, so do not craft this if you don't have the core cards. Thanks again.

Legend and winrate proof:
Guide:
You have 2 ways of playing this deck.
An agressive way and a controlish way.
Both of them are based on completing your quest as soon as possible for dealing double damage with your new hero power with cards like Kobold Lackey, Pen Flinger, Circus Medic and Cumulo-Maximus. You can go either face or control the board with that extra damage. You will have to decide based on your knowledge of the meta and what cards you can expect your enemy plays.
The power of this deck is how you can adapt your gameplan. Sometimes you have to change to full face if its a rogue and he is beating you on tempo plays. In other matches you have to play your both Circus Medic for heal if you are facing an aggro demon hunter. Sometimes you are playing against ress priest and you just have to wait to get to turn 10 and do your combo for up to 48 damage.
Combo:
In addition to that, you have the Y'Shaarj, the Defiler combo. You just have to hero power before you play him with the help of Lightning Bloom or Tour Guide to get 2 copies of corrupted cards you played this game. You have Dunk Tank (8 damage per copy you played before) and Circus Medic (16 damage per copy you played before because you already have the double battlecry :D).
Golden tips I learned playing this deck:
*If you expect a long game, just hold as much as you can to battlecry draws until you have completed the quest.
*Do not be afraid to tempo play Manafeeder Panthara or Instructor Fireheart on turns 2 and 3 against fast decks.
*DO NOT treat this as a combo deck. USE both Lightning Bloom or Tour Guide for tempo too.
*If you are about to get to your combo pieces just dump cards without your double battlecry and make room space.
(Not so obvious) Card choices:
Pen Flinger: I tried lots of variations of quest shaman but the pen one had the best winrate from diamond 5 to legend. This card can do lots of damage with cheap spells you have or the ones you generate with your other battlecry minions. Ping them with your pen and complete your quest very fast.
Serpentshrine Portal: great tempo swing dealing 3 damage and generating a minion + Pen Flinger safe return home (your hand) + overloard for Cumulo-Maximus
Ogremancer: at the time I played this deck to reach legend there were lots of cheap spells beeing used by several classes like rogue, demon hunter, mage and druid. Trust me on this, if your pocket meta have all of these enemies you should give it a try. Some people just get stuck when you play this early game with Lightning Bloom [/card] or even the coin. If you tried it a few times and this card is not beeing helpfull to you just keep in mind that you should have at least 5-6 cards from cost 5 or above to corrupt your cards. Some replacements: [card]barista lynchen , Lorekeeper Polkelt, The Lurker Below
Cobalt Spellkin: 1 mana spells in shaman right now are GREAT. Almost all of them are really usefull in many situations so you can decide how to use them over the game. They are really strong with Pen Flinger.
Cards that made this list it in previous versions (based on the pocket meta):
Devolving Missiles, Animated Broomstick, Questing Explorer, Sandstorm Elemental, Lightning Storm, The Lurker Below, EVIL Cable Rat, Frozen Shadoweaver, Barista Lynchen, Lorekeeper Polkelt
So, I played about a half dozen games or more with your list the other day. I only won 1 game, and got thrashed in the others. I know there are some really good matchups for this list, but there are some terrible ones too. Rogues and Druidsjust smash this list, unless u draw the perfect answers and get lucky.
Ive payed the game for years, and am a home brew deck builder myself. I would love some feedback from you, cuz I just dont see how this is a good list at this point in the meta. Jan 14 2021.
I faced 2 Rogues, 2 Druids, 1 DH, and 1 Hunter. I only won vs the DH.
Here are all my games so the OP can point out suggestions, mistakes, or if I was just unlucky. Cuz I sure know bad luck can happen for 10 games or more sometimes.

Thanx for your time!!
sorry mate but I can't watch your games with these links. I think they are broken. Just tell me what your bnet account is if you are in americas.
If you remove the   at the end of each link, they'll work.
I'm both sad and happy to see this.
Happy because quest shaman is my favorite archetype and it always feels good to see it succeed. Also, your guide is really good and points out the important things to keep in mind while playing this deck.
On the other hand I'm sad because Ogremancer in quest shaman.... pepeHands
Ogremancer was a key card to win against some decks. But it doens't work all the time. You have to keep analyzing the pocket meta you are in. But thanks a lot for the feedback :D
Hey little dude, Ogremancer is godlike. Make me win several games against smart arses to legend standard (1855) with this deck. I was looking for something different to play, this one is very good against general meta. This time i didn't even tweaked the deck, just used this list. With patience u win Pallys and Mages easily with ogre and other cards.
Don't judge, be smart. This is the key to any deck, any card can be useful.
I really want to play this kind of deck in Wild.
What's your suggestion to add/remove to this deck for wild gameplay?
Thanks in advance.
Loatheb and Shudderwock are solid replacements in wild. Lifedrinker can help to.
If you want to go for a combo that deals more damage, you can also run grumble and 2x Fire Plume Harbinger (and zola if you want to go infinite)
I actually dont have a clue. I never played wild seriously. But Copa just told you some cool options :D
epic deck bro, made a video showcase, hope u like it, feel free to add it to the post
right now i will try to see how far can i reach with it and post another video if i can get close to legend <3
Thanks a lot man! I dont have time to watch this in the middle of the week but I will on the weekend. Thx for the support and good luck climbing! :D
I absolutely love quest shaman and the idea with pen flinger was genius! Just made it to legend yesterday with some slight modifications. I took out the two ogremancers and added lurker below and sandstorm elemental. These are better against stealth rouge but worse against soul DH and are less creative choices :)
thats what this site is about. You get a list, adapt it to your pocket meta. Sandstorm and lurker below are great for your purposes. thx for the support man
Nice deck, but it need some defence vs rogue (50% meta in low legend ranks).
Very helpful advice in this particular post! It’s the little changes that make the largest changes. Thanks for sharing!
Loses to
Rogue (faced every other match): insane pressure and board control
Face hunter: much faster damage
Aggro DH: better tempo and card draw
Never managed to pull Y'Sharj in more than a dozen matches.
Lesson people will never learn. A deck is not legend worthy because one player somehow got lucky and made it to legend with it. Legend decks are the ones that consistently work for different players.
They way i personally play against aggro is to put as many pressure back as i can. The key to beat a deck like Rogue or Hunter is to swarm the board as hard as you can and try everything in your power to empty their boards. Don't go for slow plays like novice or cobalt in this deck if you are playing against aggro.
it's different when you play a deck alot to climb and if you adapt it;
then you know how to play a deck and also you know what to expect and how to play against certain metadecks. Just trying a deck 3x even if you think you know the cards is just different cup of tea.
yesterday the deck was quite ok, today i get rushed down as f**k... dunno ;(
I just found your deck, and am going to give it a try!! I like this Overload shell. I have already made and tried a few other version of Corrupt Shaman. Thx for the list!!
