- Find Lorekeeper Polkelt with Swindle.
- Play C'Thun spells.
- Find C'Thun with Jepetto.
- Shadowstep C'Thun.
Don't play Secret Passage after playing Lorekeeper Pokelt until you have drawn all C'Thun spells, since it reshuffles your deck.
Shenanigans in!
I made a Priest version of this. The Rogue version couldn't hold off aggro for me.
This deck is REALLY bad. Went 0-5 and lost to the usual crap you see on ladder, evolve shaman, libram pally, quest shaman.
1) There's not enough control in rouge to hold off for any decent amount of time to pull off the combo.
2)It's EXTREMELY draw dependent. If your draw cards are at the bottom of you're deck, you've lost.
3)There's too many dead cards throughout the game. Drawing Japetto early will kill you. Not drawing Japetto before Polkelt will lead to a dead turn. Shadowstep is useless before you get C'thun, god forbid you draw both early. Secret Passage becomes unplayable after Polkelt is played.
Hey Choong
I dropped plague of madness for a secret clone, it helps counter big minions or when there is too much aggro & betrayal is a good addition. I did 2 of them & dropped 1 secret passage but that bits just personal preference. Problem with plague is that they remove your lorekeeper &/or C'thun taunt without losing mana or wasting minions and is a bit counter productive if they dont just go face with the weapon & more often than not they wont waste it.
Anyway more wins with this. Definitely the most satisfying wins possible on the game.
New discovery! This whole concept works with paladin as they have a 3 cost draw the lowest minion! (Also buffs them) you have truesilver weapon for clear plus a heal. A spell which discovers a spell & also heals for the cost of whats discovered. Original card only costing 2 mana. Default heals. Lots of board clear with consecration & equality. lots of set attack/health to 1 cards. First day of school costs 0 & gets two 1-cost minions to stop early aggro. Handbuffs for hero power & some draw cards mixed in. Works so well & ill upload at some point when its refined im 3/0 with it.
Im finding it actually ends up tempo-ing enemies if theyre not aggro too because the way paladin is & the random drops
Anyway wouldnt be able to happen without your concept. Lorekeeper/jepetto/c'thun. Ill make sure i tell you when its complete
Depending on the match ups there is for sure some room to experiment with some non essential cards. My thought was to use Plague of Madness as weapon removal/replacement against Shaman or other weapon classes. It also is removal for you. May cut it if it is not worth it.
LOVE the Paladin idea!!! Really good thinking. I tried it out myself and so far I think it may be better than the Rogue build. Could be a Tier 2 deck. No Shadowstep doe :).
Looking forward to see your take on it.
glad you're getting traffic
Nice deck! Very satisfying beating a Tickatus Warlock. My last opponent milled 10 of my cards, but it didn't matter because I already pulled c'thun out with Swindle
This looks pretty interesting, gotta say.
I dusted my Lorekeeper because I'm poor on dust, and I don't have Jepetto, but maybe two stowaways might also do the job?
In theory, if swindle draws minions, and these guys draw c'thun pieces... still kinda good? I guess it's not as smooth.
Anyway, cool deck!
Stowaway is too slow, i suppose. This deck is living on the edge already. You need two of them and they cost 5 mana each.
Maybe unless you build a more defensive deck with healing, but rogue is not really good at that. But you can try it out for sure.
Thanks for the feedback.
Without Jepetto this deck doesn't make any sense at all :)
Just used this for 5 games. Won 4, and paladin got very lucky. I thought whats the harm in trying it. Looked memeish but truly works. Havent had much trouble finding cards i need either.
Ress Big Priest dead.
Demon hunter Dead.
Druid with +4+4 to whole deck & draw 2 beasts twice dead.
Warlock with cthun and tried discarding my top 5 cards with tickatus to hit my c'thun dead.
Pala got lucky with draw spell & cast minion, onto a drawn +8+8 on early stages onto his own minion, almost beat him even with loads of minions his side, just didnt draw shadowstep on final part on combo, shadowstepping cthun isnt needed to win but it was this game and his draws were lucky. Should be 5 for 5.
Coin starts better for early swindle. Or backstabs/preps for swindle.
Cloak of shadows very clutch may remove sphere of sapience or shiv for another one. & Sapience only good from early game & it interacts bad with hero power for early clear if needed. But then again could be clutch with no swindle or draw cards in sight.
Last but not least not sure about 2 secret passages yet but only 5 games in, good in late game whilst stalling i suppose. Or looking for an answer to destroy a big minion.
Edit : Shadow clone secret might work aswell instead of ambush for when they have weapon clear. Or even replacement for 1 secret passage.
Im shocked how well this has worked so far its fairly easy to get to that stage. Will play more & report back
Hey there, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
Since I encountered so many Tickatus Warlocks at the moment, I thought a fast C'Thun Deck may work. This Deck is not really viable in an ultra aggro Meta.
Not sure about Sphere of Sapience and Shiv either, but there are not too many options with non minion cards. Maybe Betrayal or Plague of Madness could work.
Secret passage is also good in the early game, to find Swindle with 3 or more mana.
Another option would be to include more secrets and Shadowjeweler Hanar in order to be more versatile, which on the other hand reduces your chances to find Lorekeeper Polkelt with Swindle.
I will also do some more experiments and update this deck accordingly.
Yeah aggros a killer as theres not whole board clear for rogues until the right cthun card is drawn, i lost to an aggro pala & had a very close game with 2 mages & beat one, im 5-3 but will try some variations soon & report back, definitely fun.
