Hey everyone, I'm Gatormatthew. I finish top 500 on NA every month, and I make educational Hearthstone content. Today's guide is on a really interesting deck, Secretless Miracle Rogue. Below, I have a quick explanation of the deck, a short mulligan guide, and a link to a video that I made on the deck where I explain all of my plays. Hope the guide helps, and good luck in your games :)
The number one reason to play this deck over the traditional Miracle Rogue with cards like Shadowjeweler Hanar is that it is better in tempo-based matchups like Aggro DH. Prize Plunderer is a card that flew under almost everyone's radar and has ended up being an insanely strong card. With the amount of draw this deck has, it easily ends up being around a 1 mana 2-1 deal 3, swinging the board in your favor. A throwback card in this deck similar to Prize Plunderer is SI:7 Agent. This card works exceptionally well with Foxy Fraud in matchups such as DH. For three mana with Foxy, you get a 3-2, a 3-3, and you ping off a minion. Crazy good tempo. This deck also features Whirlkick Master, which essentially replaces Hanar. Whirlkick Master is a free board in the lategame, allowing you to just play one combo card and chain for a huge amount of value. Combo cards are also incredibly high quality, only around 3-4 out of the 18 or so available are bad. In the video, I have a game where Whirlkick completely carries the game by itself versus a Highlander Hunter.
This deck's mulligan is super complicated and the deck overall is challenging to play. You always want to keep Pharoah Cat no matter what, as well as EVIL Miscreant on the Coin. Foxy Fraud is also usually a keep. Apart from that, it is really up to you how you want to approach the mulligan, and it is super matchup dependent. Keep blowout hands with Edwin VanCleef. If you already have Foxy Fraud, consider keeping cards like Swindle or SI:7 Agent for a huge surge in tempo.
Hope you guys enjoyed the written guide. If you want to see me play live on Twitch, I stream every weekend from 1pm-3pm EST and every Mon/Wed/Fri from 1:45pm-3:45pm EST. Link to Twitch .
Any suggestions for replacements since I don’t have Jandice? Don’t have enough to craft either :(
I used Shadow of Death instead of Jandice, since I dont have her. I use the shadow on the Master so I draw more of her and make more combo cards
Thank you! That’s a very nice combo
Really fun deck, just wondering what could I replace to add in a Flik Skyshiv. Flik is a much-needed removal for me, especially against Clown Druid.
If you wanted to counter Clown druid, just play another questing. Remove an SI
Sounds great, what is your opinion on removing an SI for Kobold Stickyfinger for evo shaman matchups ?
Hard tech cards are usually pretty bad. There might be enough shaman for it? But there has literally never been a time that stickyfinger is playable on ladder.
Hi Gator,
Currently rank 1 with this deck. Had a few final boss fights for legend. I highly doubt if Pharaoh Cat is better then Spymistress.
Coerce seems like a nice replacements for Cold Blood, thanks. I could not find a proper replacement for it.
I also run 2 Questing Adventurer instead of 2 SI:7 Agent. It is to much of a win condition against a few classes imo.
Curious about your opinion.
2x questing 1x SI is fine, especially with less DH's. Pharaoh cat is better versus slower decks, spymistress is better versus faster decks. Both are ok (i prefer cat though)
Gator, yet another awesome deck.
After piloting decks you made to diamond 2 last month (my highest ever), I tried making my own hunter deck that got me to diamond 10, then got stuck.
I tried out your big warrior (which is also awesome) and stalled out about diamond 3. I just couldn't push past that, but that is probably my skill issue, not the deck.
Then I saw this deck. I have basically never played rogue, and i would have to craft several cards. I decided to give it a shot.
For the first time ever, I have just cracked diamond 1!! Hoping I can push through to legendary. Thank you so much for your awesome content!
Side note, I did change out one SI:7 for a Ticket master. That works better for me personally, doesn't mean it is better though.
Cheers!!
Thank you! Glad it worked so well
Nice deck dude! I really suggest removing one SI:7 Agent and put one Potion of Illusion. It tends to be a dead card on mid/late, and you often have a board full of minions with good battlecries/combos. It has given me various victories.
For me, this is the most fun an original deck I've played in the whole expansion. And also one of the hardest to pilot. I was doubtful about the power level of this deck, but you easily generate damage and minions (and also removal). Having 3 Edwins and a hand full of lackeys is so pleasing.
Sorry, I'm from Russia. Thank you for your opinion :)
Can Jandice and an SI:7 Agent be replaced? Looking through the comments I realize I should probably craft a second Whirkick Master as well.
Jandice will be in every rogue deck until she rotates, she is a very good craft. SI can probably be replaced by a coerce?
You have one big problem with this deck. In fact, you have nothing to gain a foothold on the table, and your potential 2/2 for 3 mana will be easily killed. And to hope for a good random through the wizard - yes, but ... It is safer to play through 4/3 of the ticket holder, there is something to gain a foothold on the table. But this is no longer quite a miracle deck. The question is, how strong is your miracle?
Hate to say it, your translator service scammed you. All I could make out was that questing adventurer is bad at getting footholds, while ticket master is good at footholds.
Just hit legend with this deck, a lot of fun. Did well against everything but evolve shaman, was like 1-4 with a couple of the losses being close. Otherwise felt like I had a good chance against anyone I went up against. Best matchup seemed to be DH and after the first couple games did really good against pure paladin.
I am 0-4 right now against mages and evolve shamans, not sure why it’s not performing well for me. It just seems like my opponents are developing huge boards and I don’t have the tools to create any relevant threats other than some lackeys, a miscreant and a foxy fraud etc. I did replace one Whirlkick Master with another coerce (I only have one crafted). Could this be that big of an issue?
I found evolve shaman to be the hardest matchup but mages weren’t too hard. Definitely get the second whirl kick, sometimes can get 5 or 6 extra cards off of it.
