Hi,

Introduction

I have always loved the Copy stuff archetype in Priest. I have been playing for a long time some copy stuff with multiple shenanizagans merged like memedictus, dragons, galakrond, nzoth, amara quest, razakus, etc

This time I decided to give a try using the rogue class, since rogues also have part of this copy/steal mechanic.

So, I created with deck in standard that's a ton of fun. As a copy/steal deck, it has the potential to win whatever game. It's highly RNG dependent, it even includes our lord and savior yogg saron!

Key stuff from the deck:

The quest: not very popular but a quest that provides a reward that can be very good for tempo along the game. Also, its very easy to complete it in this deck.

Draw mechanics: using some very good tools that the rogues has to draw, we have the Secret Passage to refill a hand in a turn and the secret Dirty Tricks to cycle our deck.

Card generation: here's the category that the deck shines. All the main strength that the random card generation is that it provides an insane amount of value that helps a lot to find THAT card that you need or simply the value needed to beat a controlish deck.

For this we have:

All of these listed cards are excellent to get add a lot of value with cards from other classes, lackeys that generate infinite random stuff, mage specific cards and legendary cards.

These cards easily complete the quest very consistently in the early game.

Win condition: not much to say, the default win condition is to out-tempo your opponent by playing so many cards one after another, that your opponent wont be able to keep it up. Also, you are going to efficiently clear his minions with the weapons from the quest's reward.

But, we have a second option, a plan B, a danger button to trigger, and that is: Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate. What else to add, just praise yogg and spin that wheel!

Secret pack: the secrets per se were already mentioned, but the package also come with Blackjack Stunner, an excellent tempo card.

Particular mentions:

  • Edwin VanCleef, stample card in basically any rogue deck since ever. We have a lot of cheap options included in the deck to create a big Edwin in the early game and a lot of generated cards that can open the chance to play a lot of them and play a huge Edwin in the mid/late game.
  • Infiltrator Lilian, replaceable, it does provide a good value with a high attack minion for 4 mana and a deathrattle that immediately triggers an extra attack.
  • Vendetta, very good card that perfectly fits the deck, huge tempo swing in aggressive matchups.
  • Foxy Fraud, replaceable, it provides a good body for it mana cost and it synergizes well with other cards like EVIL MiscreantWand Thief and, of course, Edwin VanCleef.

Mulligan:

I always like to keep the quest, no matter what's the opponent class. Said that, I always try to go for the early cards to complete the quest. Like Pharaoh CatWand Thief or EVIL Miscreant. If you play against an agro class, I would also consider to keep Underbelly Fence, since it's a very strong tempo card stat and "speed" wise that only needs a single generated card from another class.

And that's all, have fun!
