Anomaly back at it again making some theorycrafts for the upcoming expansion.

This is just a preliminary version as we have yet to test it but I have a good feeling about this one!

What am I trying to Resurrect?

The N'Zoth, God of the Deep resurrect is mostly targeted in this deck for maximum consistency. The board will consist of:

Murloc: Fishy Flyer. Nice rush minion to react to early game board states as well as a minion that affects the board immediately the turn N'Zoth, God of the Deep is played.

Elemental: Zephrys the Great. Not sure if I can add Siamat to this deck for a 50% chance at a 6/6 as the deck slots are pretty locked in right now!

Dragon: Deathwing, Mad Aspect or Dragonqueen Alexstrasza OR either of her generated Dragons. Likely the biggest minion being summoned.

Pirate: Sword Eater or Kobold Stickyfinger. Both being taunts is very handy as it has immediate impact on board..

Beast: Bad Luck Albatross because it does well against Pure Paladin, No minion mage and other highlander decks.

Mech: Scrap Golem. Really good defensive mech to summon back

You may notice that some of the minion tribes are represented with multiple options. This is because of Ringmaster Whatley as we want to to have multiple options from those 3 tribes to improve the consistency of this card. Plus, all of the options being resurrected from N'Zoth, God of the Deep is just fine. A board of 2-3 taunts and a large dragon on top of N'Zoth, God of the Deep is nothing to scoff at and will force some kind of removal from your opponent, it is not the win-condition of this deck. Nzoth is going to summon you a board of 4-5 decent minions to force removal. I tried the Taunt package and its just too inconsistent. A taunt deck will have to contain duplicates.

Why Highlander?

I have chosen to run the highlander package instead of a more focused taunt warrior build because that archetype has been around for over a year without any kind of success. Since we still have a lot of cards yet to be revealed, this can just be seen as the first shell of the deck I am trying to create. There might be better resurrect options coming with this "mini expansion" than the one I have listed above (Especially when it comes to the murlocs, and or demons).

There is also potential for a mid-range menagerie warrior build with cards like Tent Trasher and Ringmaster's Baton but I will hold my thoughts on that till I have cooked up a version and play it myself!. (Got a good deck with these cards and a deck guide is in progress)

For this deck although Ringmaster's Baton sounds like a no-brainer, its a REALLY slow card and requires your hand to already contain those tribal minions for it to generate value. It is also terrible with Corsair Cache as 99% of the time you do not want to play the Ringmaster's Baton on turn 3.

How about removal, got enough?

Since a highlander deck means we cannot run 2 copies of our premium removal options in Brawl, Shield Slam, and Bladestorm, I have added C'Thun, the Shattered to the deck as an extra win-condition as well as offering 3 more servicable forms of removal. Note: The "parts" of C'thun that are shuffled into the deck are all unique cards and do NOT break the highlander synergy( I will explain what these cards do below). This also helps with the fatigue counter as the deck will consist of 35 cards and not 30 (4 from the "parts" of C'thun and the 5th being C'thun himself).

 Parts of C'Thun, the Shattered:

Silas Darkmoon can also be used to steal your opponents minions (I see you Libroom Paladin, Res Priest).

When it comes to facing Tickatus, I find Cthun to be a GOOD COUNTER. Let me explain:

When you have the pieces in the deck, the warlock player tunnels into milling that one card. We have a 34 card deck and I don’t care if they mill my Cthun. I have waves of threats besides that card. Now, you lose to the super highroll of a turn 10 Yshaarj but highrolls are another topic altogether!!

Ignore the 1 drop, thats a placeholder for the new warrior pirate with taunt.

I am open to suggestions and would love to hear everyone's feedback. Stay safe!
